FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Police say a suspect has been arrested in the stabbing death of a man at the California State University, Fullerton campus.Fullerton police Lt. Jon Radus on Thursday told The Associated Press that 51-year-old Chuyen Vo was arrested Wednesday night at his home in Huntington Beach. Vo is suspected in the death of a former co-worker, 57-year-old Steven Shek Keung Chan. Police would not elaborate on the work relationship between the two men.Chan worked as the director of budget and finance and student services for university extended education but retired in 2017. To stop the spread of the coronavirus, WHO’s emergencies chief, Dr. Michael Ryan, said Monday that the “shocking” rate of COVID-19 cases and deaths, particularly in the U.S., mean that people shouldn’t get too close to their loved ones this year. That means with or without a mask on. “The epidemic in the U.S. is punishing. It’s widespread," said Dr. Michael Ryan. "It’s quite frankly, shocking, to see one to two persons a minute die in the U.S. — a country with a wonderful, strong health system (and) amazing technological capacities,” he said.Dr. Ryan called the pandemic “brutal” in the U.S., which accounts for about a third of all COVID-19 cases globally. Garrett Rolfe, the now fired Atlanta Police officer who shot Rayshard Brooks twice late Friday night, has turned himself into the Fulton County (Georgia) Jail on Thursday.Bond has not been set for Rolfe as of Thursday afternoon.Rolfe has been indicted on 11 charges, including murder. Investigators said Rolfe fired two shots at Brooks, resulting in the Brooks’ death.Officer Devin Brosnan has been charged with aggravated assault and several violations of his oath of office. Brosnan was placed on administrative leave late Saturday.As of late Thursday afternoon, Brosnan was no longer in custody after he was released on bond.Brooks died on Friday night after Rolfe shot him in the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant.The Georgia Bureau of Investigations said that officers responded to a call of a man who fell asleep behind the wheel in a drive thru. The police accused Brooks of failing a field sobriety test, which prompted the officers to attempt to arrest Brooks.Video of the incident showed that Brooks then struggled with officers over a Taser.
