SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One of San Diego's most recognized dive bars has been sold to two local cousins.The Aero Club's property was purchased, along with its neighboring property occupied by the t-shirt company Dyno Brand, for .4 million by cousins Chad Cline and Jason "Rocky" Nichols. The bar, formerly owned by Chinatown Bar & Grill's Bill Lutzius, will largely remain unchanged with its dive bar-style in tact, according to Cline. Cline said the two are dive bar fans and Aero Club held a special spot for them as they worked nearby at Waterfront."[Aero Club] was always kind of the spot that we felt was similar to what Waterfront was," Cline said. "We’re dive bar fans. All the spots that we’re associated with are kind of dive bars as well."And, of course, there's the Aero Clubs massive assortment of whiskey at the bar — which isn't going anywhere."I started liking it even more," Cline joked of when Aero Club started collecting hundreds of varieties of whiskey. He added if any changes were to come, the portfolio of whiskeys could expand."That's our goal with the whole thing is to continue it and not ruin it," he said. The four-night convention begins with a roll call on Monday evening from delegates who take turns stating their pick for the nominee. California Republican National Committeewoman and Delegate to Republican National Convention Harmeet Dhillon said they are expecting a unanimous vote for President Trump and VP Mike Pence.Then, top republicans and citizens will speak through the next few nights. President Trump is expected to speak Thursday evening, but the schedule also shows he will be in the program to some capacity every evening.This would typically be a time when hundreds from California attend, but with coronavirus restrictions, that’s not possible this year. Dhillon said California would typically have 170 delegates, an equal number of alternates and guests, but that number has dwindled to just 6 for 2020. She said everyone in Charlotte has taken multiple coronavirus tests and said she feels safe with the health guidelines being practiced.Dhillon also said that she encouraged people who would not be flying to the RNC to donate the money saved from staying home. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police have confirmed that the 19-year-old woman shot near Sunset Cliffs Thursday morning was targeted. Police told 10News they received a call at about 7:10 a.m. from a person who spotted a bleeding woman lying on a staircase next to the beach off Ladera Street, near Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.Responding officers arrived and found the woman with multiple gunshot wounds.The 19-year-old was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center. Police said Thursday afternoon that the woman is in stable condition and was able to tell police she had no idea what happened.Police said they do not have any information on a suspected shooter at this time.Police told 10News they have not been able to find anyone who heard gunshots or saw what might have happened. 792

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - More low-income seniors are taking back their independence with help from the St. Paul's PACE program.PACE helps seniors live independently at home by providing social services, in-home care, transportation, personalized medical services, and senior activities.Norma Griego is a PACE Certified Nursing Assistant and visits about six seniors a day. She checks on their well-being, does light housekeeping, and spends time socializing with the seniors. "Socialization is so important. There are times that they don't get out to see a lot of people and just listening to their stories is wonderful and then getting to know them and build relationships with them, it's amazing, it's just wonderful," said Griego.Iva Records is a PACE participant and is turning 102-years-old this Halloween. "Well I just like it here; I like my independence, I like to get up when I want to, I want my breakfast when I want it," Records.Because Records has trouble seeing, she relies on PACE to continue living independently at home. "They always are there for you," said Records.
