EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) — One person is dead after their vehicle became airborne and crashed, sending metal and pieces of the vehicle across the roadway.California Highway Patrol troopers tried to stop the vehicle on eastbound Interstate 8 at about 2 a.m. Saturday before the driver sped off.Troopers pursued the vehicle, which began picking up speed as it left the highway, CHP said.At one point, witnesses told 10News the vehicle hit a dip on Main St. near Jamacha Rd. at a high speed and became airborne. The driver lost control of the car and crashed, colliding with a tree and wall along the road.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not immediately identified.The crash sent pieces of the vehicle flying in all directions including the car's engine block, which was dislodged and found across the road.TRAFFIC: Live traffic conditions around San Diego"Seemed like just 30 minutes of just crashing and metal everywhere," one witness said. "Just a horrific sound. Donald Trump Jr. has been temporarily suspended from certain functions on Twitter for violating the website's rules for spreading misinformation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.According to a screenshot of Trump Jr.'s account shared by Republican strategist Andrew Surabian, Twitter suspended the president's son over a tweet that included a video with dubious COVID-19 information.On Monday, Trump Jr. tweeted a video of a group of people who claimed to be doctors who were touting the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine, a drug which the president has said is an effective treatment for COVID-19. The video also discouraged the use of masks.Several studies have shown the drug has not been effective in treating the virus, and in June, the FDA removed an Emergency Use Authorization for the drug in connection with COVID-19 treatments.CNN reports that the video was originally published by Breitbart News. Facebook and YouTube reportedly removed the video from their platforms Monday as the video began to go viral.According to Surabian's screenshot, the Trump Jr. has been barred from tweeting, retweeting, "liking" tweets or following other accounts. (KGTV) -- Five people were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after reportedly falling ill at an El Cajon animal hospital.The incident was reported at around 1:40 p.m. at the Care & Comfort Veterinary Hospital on 522 E Chase Ave.According to Heartland Fire officials, five adults and two children inside the hospital reported not feeling well.Responding emergency crews conducted tests on the adults and children, and they found the seven people had elevated levels of carbon monoxide in their systems.The adults were transported, but the two children -- for reasons unknown -- were not taken to the hospital.Fire officials said a hazardous materials team and county health officials tested the air in the building but could not locate the source of the carbon monoxide.Meanwhile, officials advised owners to pick up their pets from the hospital out of an abundance of caution. 911
