SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Emergency crews have recovered a body after an incident at a Scottsdale aquatic park.Crews were at Eldorado Aquatic Park near Hayden and McDowell road early Monday morning.Scottsdale police say around 12:30 a.m.; an officer was making rounds in the area when he heard what sounded like muffled calls for help.He worked to locate where the calls may be coming from and eventually found them to be coming from a pipe that helps support one of the water slides.Officers were communicating with the victim, said to be a transient, but lost communication with him around 2 a.m.Officials say the man reportedly went up over a tall fence surrounding the park and was up on the slide. He then somehow fell into the pipe structure, where he became trapped.Crews had to dismantle the slide in order to get the victim's body out.He has since been identified as 31-year-old Ryan Kelly. SARASOTA, Fla. -- A Florida family is relieved their 4-year-old daughter is still alive days after she swallowed water in the family's swimming pool while playing with a pool noodle.Elianna Grace has been fighting an infection ever since."Were you scared?" Lacey Grace asked her daughter. "No, she wasn’t scared she was super, super, super brave!"Even after Elianna was hooked up to IVs, oxygen tanks and a nebulizer this week, fighting an infection caused by the chemicals in her family pool."It was just a fun game. You know, when somebody would go by her or swim by her she would take the noodle and pretend like she wasn’t looking and she would shoot water at them," said Grace. "Then somebody wanted to do it back to her and didn’t realize that she was already on the other end of it."Water was blown down her throat. She threw it up right away and started acting normal."I wouldn’t have known about it if that one person didn’t write that story," said Grace, referring to the story about a 4-year-old Texas boy who died last year after dry drowning.Lacey recalled that article right after the incident. Two days later, Elianna developed a fever and by the next day her skin had turned purple. She knew something was wrong."I called my husband and I was crying and I said you know they said to get her to the nearest ER as quick as you can," said Grace.The water at some point seeped into Elianna's lungs and she was slowly dry drowning. Grace says because of this little boy's parents and their story, her daughter is alive."Being a mom is hard work, but I read every article I can as much as I can about being a parent just to be ready if something like this happens," Grace said.She encourages other parents to do the same. 1754

Scrap metal thieves are becoming so brazen, they're now now taking parts off of gas grills at Walmart in the middle of the shopping day, according to Cleveland's Environmental Crimes Task Force.Sgt. Andrew Ezzo said the crooks took nearly 100 pounds in valves and other parts from display gas grills at the Walmart located on Brookpark Road in Cleveland."The only way they found out is because they sold a couple of display models, and people had to bring them back and said, 'Where's our parts?'" said Ezzo. "They think they can take whatever they want. They think they're entitled to it."Ezzo said his task force has reported a series of thefts at major companies in all parts of the city. Two thieves were caught on surveillance video at Menyhart Plumbing on Lorain Road stealing thousands of pounds in antique home heating radiators. Owner Peter Menyhart said the task force used his surveillance video and its relationship with area scrap yards to make an arrest in less than a day."Basically anything those two guys could physically carry, they carried out of here," Menyhart said. "They didn't have any money, so they're like, 'Hey, lets go steal some scrap, and we could go drop it off at 7 a.m. at the scrap yard and get some cash.'"The scrap yard involved reported the stolen items, and police found suspects in just a few hours.Ezzo said his task force is in a battle, but the efforts of his team have reduced the number of thefts so far in 2018."In 2014, 2015 and 2016, the State of Ohio led the nation in scrap theft," Ezzo said.
