SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was injured late Friday after a stabbing near Fox Canyon in eastern San Diego.A 25-year-old man was with two other people in the 4900 block of Auburn Dr. just after 10 p.m. when an unknown suspect walked up to the group and got in an argument with the victim, San Diego Police said.The argument escalated, ending with the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times in the left side of his body, police said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police have confirmed that the 19-year-old woman shot near Sunset Cliffs Thursday morning was targeted. Police told 10News they received a call at about 7:10 a.m. from a person who spotted a bleeding woman lying on a staircase next to the beach off Ladera Street, near Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.Responding officers arrived and found the woman with multiple gunshot wounds.The 19-year-old was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center. Police said Thursday afternoon that the woman is in stable condition and was able to tell police she had no idea what happened.Police said they do not have any information on a suspected shooter at this time.Police told 10News they have not been able to find anyone who heard gunshots or saw what might have happened. 792

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One man is dead and another injured after a shooting in City Heights Saturday night. 31-year old Dionte Floyd was killed and 38-year old Dashe Wallace was seriously injured, police said. Wallace's condition was unknown as of Sunday afternoon.According to police, the shooting happened around 6 p.m. on the corner of El Cajon Boulevard and 52nd Street. Police said two groups were involved in a fight when someone started shooting. Two of the men were shot several times before the suspects left the area. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- More than 20 people were arrested in San Diego as part of a statewide sanctuary enforcement operation carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.ICE officials said the arrests were made between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2, with the focus on “criminal aliens and individuals who have violated U.S. immigration laws.”According to officials, arrests were made in San Diego, Encinitas, Vista, Lakeside, National City, Poway, Fallbrook, Spring Valley, Escondido, Oceanside, and San Marcos.In a news release, ICE officials said:“Of those arrested, 10 were the direct result of sanctuary state laws that force local law enforcement not to honored a lawfully issued immigration detainer. Two arrests were the direct result of the law enforcement agency releasing the individuals prior to ICE being able to place an immigration detainer on their case.Of those arrested, over 80 percent had prior criminal convictions and/or pending criminal charges. Of those, the criminal offenses included Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a minor under 14 with Force, Domestic Violence, Assault, Possession of Control Substance for Sale, Possession of Control Substance, Vehicle Theft, Burglary, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.One individual who was arrested during the operation will face federal criminal prosecution for having illegally re-entered the U.S. after their removal. Those who were primary targets of this operation have final orders of removal issued by a federal immigration judge. Their due process was completed, and they will be removed from the United States. The individuals who were arrested and require adjudication from an immigration judge will be placed in detention pending the outcome of their removal proceedings.”Gregory Archambeault, Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in San Diego, said, “The State of California has chosen to prohibit local law enforcement agencies from cooperating with ICE to protect public safety. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Opening statements started Wednesday in the trial of a father accused of killing his two children in a fire at his Rancho Bernardo condo in 2017. Investigators said Henry Lopez passed out drunk with a lit cigarette, starting a fire that spread to the rest of the home. His children, 10-year-old Cristos and 7-year-old Isabella, died as a result of smoke inhalation. Lopez was also hospitalized with burns. Lopez’ ex-wife Nikia testified at his preliminary hearing in February 2018, saying the couple was in the custody of a divorce. Nikia Lopez also said her ex-spouse was an abusive alcoholic.
