Officials are investigating a deadly plane crash near 7th Street and Deer Valley Road on Monday morning. The FAA says the aircraft involved is a single-engine, home-built Acroduster. It reportedly crashed in the intersection around 6:50 a.m. under unknown circumstances. One person was killed and another was injured, according to Phoenix aviation officials. Phoenix Fire says they took the surviving victim, a man, to the hospital in critical condition. Video from the scene showed emergency crews working around debris in the roadway near several damaged cars. Police told media on scene the vehicles had substantial damage but no one on the ground was hurt. The area is shut down to drivers and there is no estimated time to reopen. While we have already profiled why results will likely take awhile this year, perhaps no state is better situated to have delayed results than Pennsylvania. WHY PA RESULTS MAY TAKE WEEKSJoe Corrigan, a political consultant in Philadelphia, says with a record number of voters voting by mail, combined with state rules regarding when ballots can be counted, results will take time. "We are seeing about 10 to 15 thousand mail-in ballots requested a day (in Pennsylvania)," Corrigan said. These ballot requests are overwhelming elections offices across the state."Pennsylvania law prohibits county boards of elections from counting any absentee ballots or mail-in ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day when polls close," Corrigan added. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled Thursday that ballots can arrive until 5 p.m. ET on the Friday after the election and still count. The ballots do have to be postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted.That doesn't even begin to take into account the state is using relatively new in-person voting machines. "I would very happy to know who won Pennsylvania by Thanksgiving," Corrigan said. WHAT IS BEING DONEElection officials know they have pending issues. OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) — A suspect has been arrested in the hit-and-run death of a 17-year-old girl in unincorporated Escondido on Saturday.Paul Anthony Lissona, 29, of Escondido, was arrested and charged with felony hit and run charges in connection with the death of a teenager early Saturday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.According to CHP, the crash happened on Mesa Rock Road near Mesa Ranch Drive around 12:30 a.m. The teenager was standing outside a vehicle parked on the right shoulder talking with four friends. As three of the individuals, including the teen, crossed the road from east to west a vehicle speeding northbound hit the teen.The teen's friends and nearby residents tried to help her, but she died at the scene. She has not been identified.CHP said at about 2 a.m. Sunday, officers located a white Toyota Highlander matching the description of the vehicle involved in the collision. CHP added that "a conscientious person heard about the incident, observed the vehicle and contacted the CHP leading to the arrest."Additional charges are pending against Lissona, CHP said. 1120

(KGTV) -- Three suspects were arrested Monday after reportedly shooting and injuring three women at an Oceanside shopping center.Police say Anthony Tua, 19, Deshune Bryant, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile were all arrested for the shooting.Investigators don’t believe the victims were the intended targets because the suspects reportedly shot into a large group of people. The shooting appears to be gang motivated, according to police.RELATED: Three women injured in Oceanside shooting  The shooting took place on the 3700 block of Mission Avenue at 5:15 p.m. Sunday.According to police, three women were in the front of a clothing store when three black men suddenly came up to them before shooting. All three victims suffered non-life threatening injuries."The only thing was, 'Save the kids!' because I don't know what was happening," said Angelica Camiro, a waitress who was taking her nephews to get ice cream when the shots rang out.Camiro said she ran back into the restaurant and told all the customers to get to the back of the store before calling police. 1101
