And they’re hoping for that one na?ve person to follow the link, and when they do, you’re literally opening the doors to the kingdom,” Jordan said. Employees are often tricked because the email contains a reactionary ask telling somebody they need to share personal information right away. “They’re taking advantage of our human nature. And when somebody needs your help, and somebody needs an action from you, you want to respond, you want to do something,” Jordan said. According to Jordan, the best way to prevent these attacks is to train your employees. Commercial General Contractor, Pinkard Construction, is one company leading by example. Technology Manager Eric Schmeer says models that used to be on paper have now become fully digitized using laser scanners, drones and 360 degree cameras. “All of these devices, all this information, it’s all computerized, it’s all digital, it’s all connected to the internet. And so when you’re running these multi-million dollar projects and all that information is digital, it’s really, really important to protect it,” Schmeer said. For that reason, Pinkard Construction takes time to educate its employees on what an attack could look like. “Teach people just the fundamentals about how to analyze an email, and determine whether it looks phishy or not. And what to do when they’re not sure about links and whether they should click them, and how to figure out where they go,” Schmeer said. The company also fosters an environment where employees are encouraged to come forward with questions. “Nobody is ever hesitant to forward an entire technology team here and say ‘Hey is this legitimate? Can I click this link? What’s gonna happen here?’” Knowing you could be just one click away from killing your company, it’s always OK to ask for help. “Just ask. It’s very simple. She owns a small bakery in west Phoenix and says she was shocked to face such a disturbing encounter at her own business, but says she never expected what happened next.“She was trying to light me on fire.”“It took me a while to realize that she was throwing gas at me. When I saw her struggling with the lighter, that’s when it clicked on me, what she was trying to do. She was trying to light me on fire and that's when I decided to run inside,” said Frausto.The incident happened in August, and it was all caught on her surveillance video.According to police reports, the suspect was identified as Araceli Soledad Aguilera and was arrested in August for aggravated assault, serious physical injury, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.According to MCSO, she was then released from custody.“I’ve seen her around here. She still comes around here, and she still has her fights with people here. LACKLAND AFB, Texas – The Centers for Disease Control has now confirmed a 15th case of the new coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, in the United States. Thursday, the CDC said the new patient was among a group of people under federal quarantine at JBSA-Lackland in Texas who recently returned to the U.S. from China on a State Department-chartered flight that arrived on Feb. 7. This is the first person under quarantine at JBSA-Lackland who had symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19, according to the CDC. The new patient is currently isolated and receiving medical care at a designated hospital nearby. This isn't the first case of an evacuee being diagnosed with COVID-19. The 13th and 14th cases of the virus were found among evacuees who were flown last week from Wuhan to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in Southern California. This newest COVID-19 case was the first confirmed in Texas. The other 14 cases have been confirmed in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Washington state, Arizona and Wisconsin.Health officials say there will likely be additional COVID-19 cases in the coming days and weeks, including people who recently returned from Wuhan. While 195 people were discharged from quarantine on Tuesday, more than 600 people who returned on chartered flights from Wuhan remain under federal quarantine and are being closely monitored to contain the spread of the virus.In China, the government said Thursday that more than 59,800 people have been infected with the virus and the country’s death toll has risen to 1,367, 1564
