LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) - More women are coming forward after a 10News investigation revealed a La Jolla restaurant owner was arrested Wednesday on 18 counts that include raping an unconscious victim and forcibly drugging a victim. Daniel Dorado is the owner of Bird Rock area's Voce Del Mare, an upscale Italian restaurant. He's now behind bars, held on 0,000 bail.Thursday, a woman who didn't want to go on-camera told us she applied for a bartending job at the restaurant a couple of years ago, but was so uncomfortable with Dorado that she declined the job opportunity. She tells us he asked her over the phone about her body type and whether she'd wear revealing clothing. She tells us the inappropriate conversation led to more harassment, after he apparently called and yelled at her that night for being unable to meet in-person. RELATED: Woman accusing restaurant owner of rape comes forward10News also spoke to a woman Thursday who says she worked at the restaurant for a brief time and also claims to have been treated inappropriately. She wanted us to protect her identity, but revealed, "He wanted to know what I was going to be wearing to work. He wanted me to take a picture of [my outfit] and text it to him." She says she quit after a few shifts.Both women felt uncomfortable with Dorado, but say they were horrified after watching a 10News exclusive interview Wednesday night with a young woman who claims he drugged and raped her three years ago when she came into the restaurant to interview for a hostess position. Her attorney says she is one of at least four women that Dorado is charged with assaulting. Dorado is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. 1715

LEMON GROVE, Calif. (KGTV) - A strip mall that had fallen into disrepair and attracted squatters has been placed into receivership, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.Located on the 7400 Block of Broadway, the property consisted of several buildings that had closed about a year ago after the city busted an illegal marijuana dispensary.But that’s when the real problems began.“Lots of police calls, criminal activities and police responses,” said Richardson Griswold, who was appointed as the receiver by a superior court judge on Friday.It came after the City of Lemon Grove had been granted a judgment against the owners of the property. The judgment required that the owners clean it up and properly secure it, but that was never completed.When the receiver arrived Friday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Department was called in to remove six people who had been living inside. One of them was found hiding in the attic. Four were taken into custody on existing warrants.Inside, Griswold said there was “heaps of trash, clothing, and no plumbing, so there was the smell of human feces and human urine.”He had already hired a crew to start clearing out the buildings and board up the access points. Maybe it involves a little bit more flexibility,” she said. “I think presenting your boss with that idea, you know just, ‘Hey, I was thinking this might make things a little bit easier. Then I can get done what I need to get done, but also manage my kids and it might take the stress off everyone.’ I think most bosses really right now would welcome that.”Martel also says self-care is not selfish and that it’s important for parents to take moments for themselves during this challenging time.“Doing those things and not feeling bad about it, like ‘Oh, there’s a million things you could be doing right now,’ but maybe you just need to go take a hot bath or you need to just go out and take a walk or do something for you. LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Church-goers in La Mesa attended a service Sunday even as a truck that crashed into the building Wednesday remained wedged in the structure. The large tree-trimming truck crashed into the side of the San Diego Taiwanese Presbyterian Church Wednesday. According to a witness, the crew in charge of the truck was working on the 4400 block of Harbison Avenue around 1:30 p.m. when the vehicle began rolling down a hill. Fortunately, no one was inside the building at the time of the crash, though the church says several children and volunteers were close by at the time, calling it a miracle that no one was hit. "We all watched helplessly as there was nothing we could do," Rob Engquist, a witness, said. "Turns out they had gone out to reposition it, moved their wheel chalk out of the way, don't know if the parking break was set or what happened, but the truck was going down the road on its own."A witness also told 10News that the truck was originally headed for a home next to the church but hit a curb and careened toward the church instead. 1260
