President Trump spoke to reporters Wednesday following Tuesday's Midterm Elections.Trump's began with prepared remarks speaking about Republicans wins in the Senate, calling his party's performance "historic."President Trump also made a point to call out Republicans who did not embrace his agenda and lost races, including Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah) who is currently losing to Democrat Ben McAdams."Mia Love gave me no love. And she lost. Sorry, Mia," Trump said.President Trump also indicated he may make a change in his cabinet regarding Secretary of the Interior, Ryan Zinke. Zinke has been plagued by a number of scandals since he took office."We'll take a look," Trump said.Trump was later asked if his Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, would be leaving the administration."People leave," Trump said, while later indicating he hadn't heard of reports that Kelly would be leaving. Trump later claimed people were "lining up" to work in the White House.Trump's presser follows a mixed midterm election, which saw his Republican party pick up additional seats in the Senate, but lose control of the House of Representatives.Though Trump often speaks to pool reporters on the White House lawn and on the oval office, Wednesday's presser was just his third press conference since he took office in January 2017. His last presser took place in September as the Senate Judiciary Committee prepared to interview his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, in the wake of sexual abuse allegations.Trump's first press conference came just weeks after his inauguration in February of 2017.Watch the press conference in the player above. 1672

RANCHO PENASQUITOS -- A group of residents in Rancho Pe?asquitos is sounding the alarm about a trio of dense developments that could add 1,500 housing units within 1.5 miles of each other. The group, called PQ-NE Action, notes the northwest part of Rancho Pe?asquitos only has one road in and out. They are raising concerns that the road could not handle the influx in the case of an emergency, such as a wildfire evacuation. "We fully understand things are going to change, but not change to a point where the neighborhood becomes threatened from a safety standpoint," said Junaid Razvi, a 40-year resident and spokesman for the group. Two more could be on the site of the Hotel Karlan, which shut down Dec. 31. The hotel portion of the property could be rebuilt into as many as 370 homes. The Encinitas-area development company that owns it did not respond to requests for comment. Meanwhile, Lennar is proposing to build more than 530 new housing units on the hotel's old golf course.PQ-NE Action is now calling on Councilman Mark Kersey to step in. "They are moving fast on this, and so we would like to see a pause," Razvi said. RAMONA, Calif. (CNS) - The San Diego Humane Society's Project Wildlife Team will release a rescued mountain lion cub to her new home Friday, a little more than a month after she was found on the brink of death. The SDHS team at the organization's new Ramona Wildlife Center will transport the healthy cub to the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she will be able to grow up around other orphaned cubs her age.The cub was originally spotted by firefighters from the Vista Grande Fire Station near a road in Idyllwild on Sept. 2. She was found barely conscious, emaciated, dehydrated, weak and experiencing tremors. She weighed only 10.5 pounds.RELATED: Project Wildlife nurses dying mountain lion cub back to healthAfter two months of intensive care from the Project Wildlife's Ramona team, including daily fluid therapy, medications, and carefully monitored transitions to solid food, the cub has nearly doubled in weight to 22 pounds, and is now thriving and healthy. According to the Mountain Lion Foundation, adult female mountain lions can weigh anywhere from 80 to 130 pounds. The cub is the first wildlife patient admitted at the Ramona campus since San Diego Humane Society's Project Wildlife took over the Wildlife Center from the Humane Society of the United States on Sept. 1.As of April of this year, mountain lions gained temporary endangered species status from the state Fish and Game Commission. The state estimates around 500 mountain lions still call Southern California and the Central Coast home.According to the humane society, mountain lions typically stay with their mother until they disperse to live a solitary life at around 12-18 months of age. The age of the cub in Ramona was not immediately available. SDHS also said it was unsafe to return a young mountain lion to the wild if found injured or orphaned as a kitten.Project Wildlife worked with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to monitor her progress and when stabilized, to ensure she had a good permanent home at a qualified facility. 2071
