SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More than 200 people in San Diego County are currently being monitored over novel coronavirus concerns, county health officials said Friday.The 204 people under county supervision include those deemed at risk of having been exposed to the virus due to close contact with confirmed cases or because of travel to China in the past 14 days, the county said.Those individuals are monitoring their health under the supervision of county health officials.RELATED: San Diego Board of Supervisors extends coronavirus emergenciesSo far, 338 people in all have been monitored by the county, with 134 people completing their time under supervision.Health officials say the CDC is conducting screening for those landing at one of 11 U.S. airports from China. From there, if a patient shows no symptoms they are self-quarantined at home for self-monitoring with public health supervision. San Diego has had two confirmed cases of coronavirus, or COVID-19. One patient has since recovered from the virus and been released. The second patient was still receiving care. The emergency declarations allow county leaders to seek mutual aid, potential reimbursement for their response, ensure resources to first responders and hospitals, stock pile medical supplies and hospital beds, and access to state and federal emergency funds if necessary.Health officials advise anyone who believes they have coronavirus to contact their health provider immediately. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a mystery shooter that appears to using moving vehicles for target practice on a road in La Jolla.On Thursday just past 10 p.m. on La Jolla Parkway, Judy Chance was in her minivan running errands. It happened about a quarter mile from the fire station."Bang, bang, bang, bang. Basically all at once," said Chance.Her minivan was under attack."Enough to caused me to jerk back. When I looked, I saw circles in my windshield, like target practice," said Chance.On the windshield were at least six circles. Whatever caused them cracked but didn't puncture the glass."I was shocked. I was scared but had to regain composure as I was driving," said Chance.Chance pulled over and called police, feeling frightened, but grateful."Luckily I was going slow. I could have gone off the road. Glad my side window was closed," said Chance.Chance was not the only victim. Just minutes prior, in the same location, a couple driving a Mercedes says they heard a loud blast and saw a flash, before their windshield was pelted with shots. Some eight circles were found on their windshield. Was it a BB or pellet gun? One gun expert told 10news the flash and grouping may point to a shotgun, possibly loaded with birdshot. Chance says there were no vehicles around them, so the shooter may have been standing on the side of the road.Detectives say they don't have any suspect description. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Nestled off of Camino Del Rio West in the Midway District, the Body Shop sits between a Navis Pack and Ship site and the "Les Girls" adult entertainment club on Riley Street. The Body Shop, a strip club at 3776 Riley Street, welcomed customers for five decades before it closed last December. This week, Rock Church announced they'll be moving in. Rock Church has five campuses across San Diego County. They have a school and now, they have plans for the property in the Midway District. They told 10News the purchase is about more than repurposing a strip club - it's about transforming the neighborhood. "We thought it was a great idea because we know the pain that goes on in that building," said Miles McPherson, pastor at Rock Church. "Not just the women, but the men who go there and their families.”The church’s main campus on Rosecrans is roughly a mile and a half away from the new property. "We don’t know what we're going to do with the building, we just know what it won’t be used for," McPherson said. For decades, parents have explained to their kids why there's a huge sign that says 'nude girls' in their neighborhood, he said. Soon, it won't be necessary."It would be nice to put 'Rock Church' on top of that billboard, but that's another step," he said. "We’ll get to that. But you know the people in that community have been looking at that building for 50 years, and hopefully we can put something more positive in that building.”In addition to taking over the building, McPherson said the church plans to do outreach in the community.
