BEIJING, June 17 (Xinhua) -- China has evacuated 1,299 nationals from Kyrgyzstan where ethnic clashes have left at least 187 people dead, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday.The last chartered flight of China Southern Airlines, with 148 Chinese nationals aboard, landed at an airport in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at 1:30 a.m. (Beijing time) Thursday from Osh in southern Kyrgyzstan.The return of the ninth chartered flight means the end of the three-day massive evacuation, which started on Tuesday.Chinese nationals walk out of the air bridge after another chartered plane carrying 191 Chinese nationals stranded in the violence-hit Kyrgyz city of Osh lands in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, June 16, 2010."After three days of efforts, the vast majority of Chinese nationals in Osh have been flown home," said Sun Dali, deputy director of the Department of Consular Affairs with the Foreign Ministry."But we will continue to pay attention to and contact the Chinese nationals who are still staying in Kyrgyzstan, and offer immediate assistance to them in light of the changes of the local situation," he added.

PARIS, June 22 (Xinhua) -- The Paris-based Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Tuesday welcomed China's announcement of increasing the exchange rate flexibility of its currency yuan.The move was helpful not only to China's sustainable growth but also the world economy, OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria said."A combination of sustained fiscal expansion, continued structural reform and exchange rate flexibility, should provide a strong contribution from China to the achievement of a strong, sustained, and balanced growth of the world economy," Gurria said in a statement.Richard Herd, an economist heading the OECD's China and Asia Unit, said it was impossible to achieve yuan appreciation over one night."The policy is not a political gesture; the policy is a sound economics-based effort," Herd said in an interview with Xinhua, rebutting reports interpreting the statement as just lip service.China's central bank announced over the weekend it would push forward reform of the yuan exchange rate and ruled out a one-off revaluation.

BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The China Investment Corporation (CIC), the nation's sovereign wealth fund, announced Tuesday it would start a new round of global hiring for "business development" reasons.The recruiting covers 64 job positions, including asset allocation and strategic research, risk management, strategic investment and private-equity investment, according to a statement on CIC website.Applications will be accpeted till August 9, it said.The CIC was established in September 2007 with a registered capital of 200 billion U.S. dollars from China's huge foreign exchange reserves.

Ltd. The 42-year-old company is one of China's top five truck producers.Wen inspected an assembly line that produces a heavy truck every six minutes. He also talked with workers and fitted wheels to a tractor truck under the workers' direction."We must maintain the continuity and stability of macro-economic policies to ensure favorable external conditions for enterprises. But a company's growth ultimately relies on its inner drive. Companies should improve quality, develop new products and expand their market," he said.Wen also visited Shaanxi Huasheng (Group) Corp. Fruit Co. Ltd., a high-tech agriculture company in the apple industry. The company has production bases in more than 20 counties."The global economy is recovering, but at a slow pace. There are many uncertainties. MOSCOW, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Mayors of Beijing and Moscow signed here Thursday cooperative plan between the two cities for 2010- 2012.Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov introduced the municipal administration, city plan and economic development to his Beijing counterpart Guo Jinlong, who led a delegation for a visit to Russia starting from June 20.Based on the cooperative plan, official delegations will engage in mutual visits during the three years, as well as exchanges between experts on energy efficiency, security, telecommunications, mass media and management.The plan said both sides would expand cooperation and provide support for each other on promoting economy, city plan and technologies.The two cities would also further develop collaboration and contact in education, social security, environment protection, heritage conservation, culture, sanitation, sports, city infrastructure, among other things.Beijing municipal government also donated two buses with green energy to Moscow.
