SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Three six-month-old wallaby joeys are being hand-raised at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park before they are old enough to be welcomed into the park’s mob of wallabies.Photos released by the zoo show the wallaby joeys spending time in their pouches where the zoo says they are most comfortable.The wallaby joeys, which currently weigh between two and three pounds each, are being bottle-fed.Once fully grown, wallaby females can weigh between 26 to 35 pounds.The wallabies will join numerous other red-necked wallabies and gray kangaroos in an exhibit at the soon-to-open Walkabout Australia. 616

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – The San Diego Padres are heading to the postseason, and while fans can’t attend games at Petco Park, the team is giving the Friar Faithful a chance to cheer them on at the ballpark while in their cars.The Padres Postseason Watch Party will take place during next week’s Wild Card round, with the drive-in event happening in Petco Park’s Lexus Premier Lot on K Street, off 14th Street.RVs and campers will not be allowed at the watch party.The games will be shown on three separate large LED video screens, and fans at the event will be able to choose from different restaurant partners -- depending on the game -- when it comes to the ballpark eats. Throughout the day, both Democrats and Republicans repeated the same points over and over again. Political analysts say that’s only expected to continue. “The president used the power of his public office to obtain an improper personal political benefit at the expense of America's national security,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi kicked off the debate, summing up the argument to impeach President Donald Trump. The promises to the base matter, and today is a promise kept for the majority,” Collins said. The speeches continued for hours, Democrats and Republicans each taking a minute or two to state their case. Very rarely did either party directly respond to each other. “You are not going to convince the person next to you. They are not your audience,” said Thad Kousser, UC San Diego Political Analyst. Kousser says the way this is set up is purely for show. Different representatives are trying to reach their constituents, who may not be watching live. The clips of them either deriding or defending President Trump could serve them well come election season. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego Padres Monday released their schedule for the 2020 60-game regular season.According to the Padres, the team will play 40 games against National League West rivals and 30 Interleague games against American League West.The team says it will open the season at home with a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks starting Opening Day, July 24.RELATED: San Diego Padres player tests positive for coronavirus as team begins Summer Camp at Petco Park“As part of Interleague play in 2020, the Texas Rangers (August 19-20), Houston Astros (August 21-23), Seattle Mariners (August 25-27) and Los Angeles Angels (September 22-23) will all make the trip to America’s Finest City. This will mark just the second appearance at Petco Park for the Astros since joining the American League and the third visit to Petco Park for the Angels,” the team said.“For Interleague road contests, the Padres will visit Texas (August 17-18), Los Angeles (September 1-2), Oakland (September 4-6) and Seattle (September 18-20). The club’s visit to Texas’ Globe Life Field will be its first to the brand-new ballpark.”Three of the team’s four home weekends will be against National League West opponents, including a total of two weekend series against the Diamondbacks and one against the Giants.
