The SCO, founded in 2001, currently has six member states -- China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, with Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan as observers and Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka as dialogue partners.

China successfully hosted the CICA summit, calling on countries in the region to accommodate each other's security concerns while safeguarding their own security and explore a widely accepted, open and stable security cooperation architecture that meets the needs of this region.
The third partnership program, joined by Sea Turtles 911 and Hainan Normal University, will focus on sea turtle protection, including tracking the sea turtle migration, helping restore habitats, and fostering community involvement in the protection.
