(KGTV) -- Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles are among the best airports in the world in 2019, according to a new report by Skytrax. Denver ranked 37th on the list followed by San Francisco at 48th, Seattle-Tacoma at 57th and Los Angeles 71st. Denver, the highest rated airport in the U.S., was ranked 37th Unfortunately for America’s Finest City, the San Diego International Airport didn’t make the list. All three of the world’s top airports are located in Asia. The Singapore Changi airport took home the list’s top spot for the seventh year in a row followed by Tokyo Haneda and Seoul Incheon. The Singapore Changi Airport connects to more than 200 destinations around the world. In 2017, the airport served 60 million passengers from nearly 100 countries. According to its website, the World Airport awards began in 1999 when Skytrax launched its first global airport satisfaction survey. The goal of the survey is for customers to "make their own, personal choices as to which airport they consider to be the best." Airports are ranked on the list based on a a survey taken by travelers around the world. Skytrax is regarded as a benchmark for the world airport industry. (CNS AND KGTV) - Services for Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year that starts a 10-day period of repentance and contemplation, will be held Monday in San Diego. Rosh Hashana began at sundown Sunday. Services marking the arrival of the year 5780 on the Hebrew calendar feature the blowing of the shofar, a ram's horn mentioned in the Torah and used by ancient Jews in religious ceremonies and as a call to arms and now used at Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashana is a time when Jews gather with family members and their communities to reflect on the past year and the one beginning. Celebrants also eat festive meals featuring apples dipped in honey, symbolic of the wishes for a sweet year. Rosh Hashana begins a period of contemplation and repentance culminating in Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Judaism's most solemn and somber day. During the High Holy Days, Jewish tradition holds that God records the fate of each person for the coming year in the Book of Life, which is sealed at the end of Yom Kippur. (KGTV) — A firefighter battling the CZU Lightning Complex Fire in Northern California had his wallet stolen out of his vehicle and bank account drained, officials say.According to Cal Fire, the firefighter was on the ground directing crews when someone entered his department vehicle and stole his personal belongings, including his wallet. Officials say the firefighter's bank account was later drained."That's the extent that these people have gone, again, this is why we've asked for people to evacuate. It's saddening, it's sickening, and we're doing everything we can to try and help the community and unfortunately, this happened," Cal Fire Chief Mark Brunton said.The fire, which has burned 74,000 acres in San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties, is only 8% contained Sunday night. One person has died in the blaze.Officials on Sunday morning urged residents still in the evacuation zone to leave the area if they hadn't already, in part to keep crews focused on fighting the fire, saving homes, and deterring criminal behavior.About 1,300 personnel have been responding to the devastating fire, as it threatens 24,000 structures. At least 115 structures have been destroyed and 77,000 people have been evacuated from the area.On Friday, Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department said five people were arrested and charged with looting, grand theft, burglary, and conspiracy to commit a crime in the area.Cal Fire warned Sunday that there was also a fraudulent GoFundMe account circulating that claimed to be raising money for the firefighter whose belongings were stolen. "It's absolutely disgusting behavior.
