(KGTV) — Two brothers are behind bars after deputies say they got into a road rage incident and robbed a driver in Vista.On Tuesday, just before 9:30 a.m. near the 1300 block of Melrose Way, San Diego Sheriff's Department says Matthew, 29, and John, 23, Giordano were driving in a lifted grey Silverado pick-up truck. Deputies say for some reason, Matthew became angry and began to follow another vehicle and displayed a weapon to the driver.At one point, the truck cut off the driver and came to a stop, deputies say.Deputies said Matthew got out of his truck and started punching the driver's side window. Once the driver opened the door, Matthew took about ,000 worth of jewelry and money from the driver, deputies added.During the confrontation, John used a metal tool to smash the driver's windshield and the windshield of a second car not involved in the original incident, deputies say. The brothers then drove off.One of the victims suffered minor injuries from broken glass. VISTA, Calif. -- Firefighters are investigating what caused a large building to catch fire in Vista Monday morning.The fire broke out around 11:20 a.m. near Emerald Drive in Vista. When firefighters arrived, the building, believed to be a large shed, was completely engulfed in flames.Authorities say it took 24 firefighters from Vista, Oceanside and Carlsbad less than 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.Due to the smoke, nearby Grapevine Elementary School kept students inside classrooms so they wouldn’t be exposed to the smoke.Firefighters say they have yet to determine what caused the fire but added that no one was injured.Video captured by Ricardo Gutierrez shows intense flames tearing through the building. 725

VISTA (CNS) - A man who allegedly fired a BB gun at an Oceanside business that had put up a sign supporting the Black Lives Matter movement was charged Friday with felony vandalism and a hate crime allegation.Steve Soto, 23, of Carlsbad, allegedly drove by Bliss Tea & Treats around 7:10 p.m. on June 4, then fired a BB gun out the window of his vehicle, shattering a window at the Mission Avenue business and causing more than ,800 in damage, Oceanside police Sgt. VISTA (CNS) - A 24-year-old man was behind bars today for reportedly crashing his car into a freeway work zone in the far northern reaches of San Diego County while drunk, injuring himself along with two construction crew members.Ross Rodgers, 24, was headed south on Interstate 15 near Mission Road in the unincorporated Rainbow community about 10:50 p.m.Sunday when his 2008 Toyota Prius veered over traffic cones and entered the closure area, where it hit the back end of a stationary 2008 Ford F-250, according to the California Highway Patrol.A worker behind the wheel of the pickup truck and a second one on foot nearby suffered apparently minor injuries in the wreck.Medics took the two men, ages 30 and 36, to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for evaluations, CHP Officer Kevin Smale said. Rodgers was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and transported to the same hospital for treatment of a broken bone in his right foot.Upon his release from medical care, the San Diego resident was booked into the county jail in Vista on suspicion of felony DUI.The crash led to intermittent closures of parts of the freeway in the area until about 5 a.m., Smale said. 1186
