A controversial radio ad airing in the St. Louis area led to mounting criticism on Friday as the campaign for Republican Senate candidate Josh Hawley said it did not support the commercial claiming white Democrats could end up lynching black Missouri voters.The ad was paid for by the Black Americans for the President’s Agenda political action committee, based out of West Virginia, and aired for races in both Missouri and Arkansas.In the 60-second ad, two women are heard talking about the Brett Kavanaugh investigation and alleged threats that could happen if Democrats win on Election Day this year.“What will happen to our husbands, fathers, or sons when a white girl lies on them?” one woman asks. “Girl, white Democrats will be lynching black folk again. Honey, I’ve always told my son, ‘Don’t be messing around with that. If you get caught, she will cry rape,’ ” the other woman responds. 910

A father accused of killing his three children during a domestic dispute near Sacramento, California was arrested on Thursday, ABC News reports. Robert Hodges is in a California jail while he awaits formal charges. ABC reports that he is being held without bail until he faces a judge on Monday. The Yolo County Coroner told ABC News the children were 11 years old, 9 years old and 8 months old when they were allegedly killed by Hodges Wednesday evening. Police said that the children's mother was injured during the domestic assualt. Her injuries are unknown. Neighbors reported to dispatchers a domestic incident to police around 9 p.m. local time Wednesday. Several people who knew Hodges and the victims said they were unaware of any domestic violence in the family. "The kids seemed jolly most of the time, seemed happy. A man assaulted his elderly father when he came home from work and found that dinner wasn't ready, police in Pennsylvania claim.Frank Steinetz, 50, of Taylor, Pennsylvania, repeatedly punched his 83-year-old dad in the head and face on Monday night, according to Scranton's Times-Tribune.The newspaper reported that when Steinetz came home at 5:45 p.m. he got mad because his father had not prepared a meal for him.A neighbor called police after hearing screaming from Steinetz's house. The neighbor told officers he could hear Steinetz asking, "Oh, does that hurt?" along with what sounded like a physical assault.Steinetz's father, who was described as "extremely frail" by police, had bruises on his face, arms and leg after the incident, according to the Associated Press."He beat me up," the 83-year-old victim told police, according to The Times-Tribune.Steinetz was arrested on charges of aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. A dentist in New York says she's been seeing patients more than ever since the coronavirus pandemic began. She says it has nothing to do with anyone being sick, but with what she calls the "epidemic of cracked teeth."Prosthodontist Tammy Chen detailed that coronavirus-related stress leads people to clench and grind their teeth in a New York Times article."Teeth are naturally brittle, and everyone has tiny fissures in their teeth from chewing, grinding, and everyday use," Chen wrote. "They can take only so much trauma before they eventually break."Chen also attributed a lack of sleep and how people sit while working from home as to why she's seeing more patients in her dentist chair."If you're wondering why a dentist cares about ergonomics, the simple truth is that nerves in your neck and shoulder muscles lead into the temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, which connects the jawbone to the skull," Chen stated in the NYT piece. "Poor posture during the day can translate into a grinding problem at night."Chen recommends being mindful of your top and bottom teeth touching each other. The only time they should be doing that, Chen said, is while eating.She also said to wear a nightguard or retainer during the day, setting up a proper space to work and moving around during your eight or 9-hour workday. 1319

A Canton, Ohio woman was arrested for allegedly trying to remove her boyfriend's testicles during a physical altercation at their home.Jamie M. Gammel, 39, was not successful in her attempt but did cause serious harm to her boyfriend's genital area, which required medical treatment, according to the Stark County Sheriff's Office.Gammel also hit her boyfriend in the face, authorities said.According to court documents, Gammel was arraigned Tuesday on felonious assault and domestic violence charges.She is scheduled to appear in court on June 4. 575
