(KGTV) — A North County student was arrested Friday after a reported school threat.Administrators at Oak Glen High School in Valley Center learned of a potential threat from a suspended, 15-year-old student at about 8 a.m., San Diego Sheriff's Department said. Deputies did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.The high school and nearby Valley Center High were placed in a lock down as deputies responded. Deputies identified the student and soon located and arrested the suspect.SDSO said a search of the student's home was conducted, but no weapons were located.Both high schools were released from their lock downs just after 9 a.m.The student has been booked into Juvenile Hall, SDSO said. Two child care workers in St. Louis have been charged with crimes after a 2016 video of a "fight club" featuring young children surfaced, a court official said.The children were 3 and 4 years old, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's spokeswoman, Susan Ryan, told CNN Wednesday.Mickala Guliford, 28, and Tena Dailey, 22, were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a felony, according to probable cause statements from prosecutors.The women directed at least six children to have fistfights, the state alleges, noting that the children wore a padded glove and used it to hit each other's heads and bodies. 627

(AP) — Kanye West's petition to appear on New Jersey's ballot as a presidential candidate fails to pass legal muster because signatures are incomplete, and in some cases appear written in the same hand. That's according to a formal complaint filed with the state on Wednesday by election law attorney Scott Salmon. Salmon, a Democrat, filed the objection with the state Division of Elections after reviewing the more than 1,300 signatures West submitted. New Jersey requires presidential candidates to get 800 signatures to appear on the ballot, but Salmon says he counted more than 600 that were in some way defective. Two conservative activists have been charged with multiple felonies in Michigan for a series of false robocalls that aimed to dissuade urban residents in Detroit and other cities from voting by mail. Jacob Wohl, 22, and Jack Burkman, 54, each were charged Thursday with four felony counts in Detroit, including intimidating voters in violation of election law, conspiracy and using a computer to commit crimes. The calls falsely warned residents in majority-Black Detroit and urban areas in at least four other states that voting by mail in the Nov. 3 election could subject people to arrest, debt collection and forced vaccination. Two students were injured after a gun accidentally discharged at a school in Fulton County, Georgia on Thursday.Police received reports of a loud pop coming from a classroom at Banneker High School just before 3:30 p.m.According to a spokesperson with Fulton County Schools, a bullet hit a female student in the ankle, and also grazed another student. Both students were treated for minor injuries, according to the spokesperson.Officials say officers searched the classroom and found a low-caliber handgun hidden in a box. It's believed the weapon was brought on school property in a book bag by a student, according to the school spokesperson.The spokesperson added that "the investigation into this incident is ongoing and the [Fulton County Schools Police Department] plans to file criminal charges against everyone involved in this incident in accordance with District policy."Three students will face charges in the incident. One student is being charged with one count possession of a weapon and one count of a weapon on campus. Two students are being charged with reckless conduct because of their contact with the weapon.The spokesperson told CBS46 the gun did not belong to the injured students.No bags of any kind are being allowed into the school building on Friday.  1297
