KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Schlitterbahn Waterpark co-owner Jeff Henry has been arrested on charges related to the death of 10-year-old Caleb Schwab. Henry is charged with murder, 12 counts of aggravated battery and five counts of aggravated child endangerment.Henry was taken into custody in Texas and is currently being held by the U.S. Marshal Service.In a statement Monday afternoon, the company said it was not surprised at the charges against Henry."We as a company and as a family will fight these allegations and have confidence that once the facts are presented it will be clear that what happened on the ride was an unforeseeable accident," the statement read.Last week, several criminal charges were filed against Tyler A. It's part of a plan to redevelop the former 76 gas station at Pearl Street and Eads Avenue in downtown La Jolla, a station infamous for charging among the highest gas prices in the city. The station has been closed for about the last two years."It's a blighted area on Pearl," said developer David Bourne. "It needs to be developed, and I think this is the highest and best use."Bourne is proposing to turn the former station into a mixed-use development that could serve as an example of future transit-oriented projects. It was right in front of me. I actually saw the two people that were killed," said Sharon.The victims were identified as 22-year-old Eli Clayton and 27-year-old Taylor Robertson.“I worked my way outside and saw the young man, Taylor Robertson, and he was lying there face down, and we rolled him over to see if he was still alive. I think I witnessed him breathing his last breath," said Sharon.Sharon has been a part of the gaming community for years and heartbroken by the tragedy.“They're kids. They're kids having fun, kids doing what they love to do. They're parents having fun, they're you, they're me, they're everybody. It’s just kids playing a game, nothing more than that,” said Sharon.He has a message for those who lost their loved ones while they were supposed to be just having fun.“They didn't die alone. They died with a brotherhood. They died doing something they love to do, and their memory doesn't die. We're going through this every couple of months.
