Zillow says the median home in San Diego is now worth 1,000. In the US, the median home is worth 6,800, down 0.1 percent from April. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Following a four-month-long sting known as "Operation Red Beard," dozens of people have been arrested for selling drugs in East Village.Thirty-two arrests have been made so far. The District Attorney’s office announced the arrests were made in multiple locations within a one-mile radius. The largest bust locations were on K Street and 17th Street, each with at least nine arrests. The D.A.’s office and the San Diego Police Department joined forces in April to launch Operation Red Beard after residents complained of the among of drugs being sold in the area. Those drugs included methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, oxycodone, and Xanax. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Defense Secretary James Mattis has signed the extension of troops at the border, a defense official confirmed to ABC News. The extension was requested by the Department of Homeland Security after hundreds of migrants rushed the San Ysidro Port of Entry in a show of force. The move means the troops will be extended through January 31. Two officials told ABC News it’s unclear how many of the 5,600 troops currently at the border will be extended. The source also said there will be a flow-in of new forces as other units flow out because their specialties are no longer needed. Engineering units were named as one of the specialties no longer needed at the southern border. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Fifty-six years ago, San Diego officials sealed up a collection of items reflective of life in the early 1960s in America's Finest City.Friday, officials gathered at the old San Diego County courthouse to unearth those relics and take a glimpse into local history.Inside the time capsule: A copy of one edition of each newspaper published in San Diego County, 1961 coins, a county charter, a list of county officials, a copy of the capsule dedication, a leaflet sent out with 1961-62 tax bills, a newspaper clipping about the capsule, and various other items submitted by locals and organizations.RELATED: San Diego opens new courthouse trolley stationThe state Judicial Council is set to hand over the old courthouse property to San Diego County at the end of this month.
