INDIANAPOLIS — Veteran's Affairs in Indianapolis says multiple graves at a Confederate burial site were smeared with tar and feathers earlier this month.The VA is seeking information that could lead to the identification of those responsible for smearing tar and feathers on graves in the "Confederate Mound" section of Crown Hill Cemetery."Vandalism and defacement of federal property is a serious crime, and VA is working with law enforcement officials to identify those responsible," the department said in a statement. "VA is committed to maintaining our cemeteries as national shrines, and that includes cleaning these gravesites, which memorialize those interred at the cemetery."The vandalism was discovered on June 6. Crown Hill Cemetery groundskeeper David Deems said he believes the graves were defaced that morning because the tar was still soft when he found it.Deems said he was able to clean most of the substance off the graves, but some remnants remain.The Confederate Mound is a federally-owned national cemetery that does not belong to Crown Hill Cemetery, though it is on its property. It’s time for the annual Leonid meteor shower, which gets its name because meteors often appear to originate from the constellation Leo.It peaks on the night of Saturday, Nov. 17 and early the next morning.Meteors may be visible throughout the month of November, but the peak should produce rates of 10 to 15 meteors per hour, according to Space.com.The best chance for seeing meteors is to find somewhere dark, away from city lights. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly is pausing its trial of antibody treatment for coronavirus “out of an abundance of caution.”It’s unclear exactly what happened to prompt the company to pause its trial.“Safety is of the utmost importance to Lilly,” a statement from Eli Lilly reads. “We are aware that, out of an abundance of caution, the ACTIV-3 independent data safety monitoring board (DSMB) has recommended a pause in enrollment.”The trial, according to CNN, is a combination of two lab-engineered immune system proteins called monoclonal antibodies. INDIANAPOLIS -- More than a dozen protesters were arrested Monday afternoon after they blocked a busy downtown Indianapolis street during rush hour. The group was demonstrating as part of the "Poor People's Campaign" and started at Monument Circle before making their way to the an area outside of the Statehouse. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to the scene after reports of about 50 people blocking the road. Responding officers tried to talk to the protesters and gave them multiple warnings that if they did not leave the street they would be arrested. Police say they spoke to the protesters individually and tried to get them to move, but after being left with no alternative they took five women and nine men into custody. All 14 were arrested for obstruction of traffic. The group claims they were protesting against poverty, racism and other important issues.  925

On Friday, crews had estimated the fire to have burned about 6,100 acres.While low humidity and high winds have made fighting the nearby Woolsey Fire difficult, crews Friday encountered minimal active fire activity with the Hill Fire, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.At least one firefighter has been injured fighting the fire, and several hundred structures have been threatened. Surprisingly, no structures have reportedly been destroyed.The fire is burning in a south-southwest direction, VCFD said. About 800 personnel have been assigned to the Hill Fire. 883
