SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One of San Diego's most popular taco stops plans to expand across the county.City Tacos, which started in 2014 in North Park and added a La Mesa location in 2017, is preparing to open in four more locations around San Diego County. The shop is heading to Imperial Beach, Encinitas, Pacific Beach, and the Sorrento Valley area, according to City Tacos owner Gerald Torres."We've been expanding as rapidly as we can while being responsible," Torres said, noting when he used to open a store, he did so, "quietly and let people trickle in and take care of them."RELATED: List: San Diego's best Mexican restaurantsThe opening of the Imperial Beach location, however, will see a bit of a different welcoming. Free tacos will be given to the first 200 customers during its opening. In IB, the location will partner with local craft brewery Mike Hess to feature a 6,500-square-foot taco shop and beer garden just steps from the beach on Ocean Lane. Customers can expect many of the delicious taco creations found at other City Tacos locations, with the added benefit of pairing them with Mike Hess brews.To open, the IB stop will also offer tacos from local IB Street Tacos, including the carnitas, pollo asado and cameron enchilada tacos. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police on the campus of San Diego State University are hoping surveillance photos will lead to an arrest in a recent burglary. The pictures are clear. They show two men walking in the hallway of a campus building. Another photo shows them at a different angle. Police aren't releasing details about the burglary, but they say right now, there is no threat to campus. This is the latest in a series of crimes on or near campus. Last Wednesday night around 8:30, two men armed with guns robbed two people as they sat in their car. It happened in the north alley off of 55th and Montezuma. Taylor Langpap and her roommate, Jessica Ancar, walk the alley all the time to get to their apartment. "I was a little uneasy that it was just really close to my apartment, but I wasn't really surprised cause stuff like that happens all the time here," said Jessica. In the fall, there was a string or robberies where students had their cellphones stolen. In another case, a man was charged with ripping off students who were trying to sell things on the App Offer Up. Campus police aren't saying if the men in the surveillance photos are wanted in any other crimes, but students say they are always taking precautions, especially when walking after dark. "I make sure to call one of my family members or a friend, and then if I am not on the phone with someone, I try to keep very aware of my surroundings. They have blue lights around campus, you just have to make sure where those are so you can get where you are going safely," said Alexandra Howder. 1570

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Neighbors in College Area are a little more vigilant after a coyote attacking a chicken was caught on camera. Matt Dixon was grilling in his backyard when he heard squawking on the neighboring hillside. “One of the chicken flies into the fence,” said Dixon describing the video he took. “That’s when the coyote popped out of the clearing it there and made its way up and he eventually found what he was after.” Dixon posted the 28-second video online and found that people were quicker to forgive the coyote. “I got a lot of flak for not trying to help save the neighbor’s chicken and I can understand that,” said Dixon, “but it all happened so fast.” Other neighbors say they are more cautious with their children and pets outside knowing there can be coyotes in an urban area. 805

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for additional victims after arresting a man they say tried to drag a 17-year-old girl to his car in North Park in late May. According to police, the attempted kidnapping happened around 7:15 a.m. on the corner of 30th Street and El Cajon Boulevard May 31. Police say Thomas Luis Salas, 38, approached the 17-year-old at a bus stop before making casual conversation. He then extended his hand for a handshake and, when the juvenile shook his hand, police say Salas tried to grab her arm and pull her toward his light blue 2011 Ford Escape. The 17-year-old fought back and was able to get away. Investigators were able to track down and identify Salas as the suspect in the case. He was arrested on attempted kidnapping charges. His bail is set at 0,000. Police are asking additional victims to come forward. Salas is a Hispanic man five feet, nine inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He was unshaven with a goatee. Police say Salas’ eyes have a “sleepy” appearance. He also has a large tattoo on his right arm of a cartoon face inside a “sunburst” or “Flame” design. According to police, Salas may have approached other juvenile women with his phone out attempting to engage in conversation.
