WELLINGTON, Fla. - Golf courses and grade-schoolers don’t always go hand in hand but for one 6-year-old in Wellington, it’s a perfect match. The first-grader in question is Brian “Little B” Kelley. He has a long list of hobbies, but at the top of the list is golf.“Every night I have dreams about golf,” said Kelley. He picked it up from his dad, Brian “Big B” Kelley, an admittedly average golfer. The two spent plenty of weekends watching pro golfers on TV before Little B could even talk. Little B caught the bug, big time.“I just watch the pros and learn it,” he said.It mystified the adults around him, including his dad who said, “ next thing you know he’s got this amazing swing that I want.”There’s more to this story than a kid with a ton of talent, "Little B’s" parents Brian and Elizabeth are open about his adoption in Kansas City six years ago when he was three weeks old.“He was five pounds at a month old so I had him in the palm of my hand,” said Big B.His mom, Elizabeth Kelley, describes him as the gift that keeps on giving.“It just is incredible and yes he’s got an incredible talent with golf but that’s not the thing that makes him special, it’s him and who he is,” she said.A focused flexible and driven athlete, his caddy Chris Arbour says he brings an "X factor" to the game and that’s become a priority.“Be kind to people,” is the way Little B describes it.Arbour said, “I’ll be his friend for the rest of my life if he lets me.”He says it’s already made him a better person. And it can't be ignored for Little B, it made him quite the player. He’s ranked 24th in the world with US Kids Golf, 3rd in the Southeast Region, and 4th in the state. If you ask him though he’ll tell you having fun is number one. This story was first reported by Chris Gilmore at WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida. 1821

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Donald Trump’s physician said in a memo released by the White House Saturday night that the president is no longer at risk of transmitting the coronavirus."This evening I am happy to report that in addition to the President meeting the CDC criteria for the safe discontinuation of isolation, this morning’s COVID PCR sample demonstrates, by currently recognized standards, he is no longer considered a transmission risk to others," wrote physician Sean Conley.Conley said it’s been 10 days since Trump began experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, he’s been fever-free for “well over 24 hours” and all symptoms have “improved.”He said an assortment of advanced diagnostic tests reveal there is no longer evidence of actively replicating virus.“In addition, sequential testing throughout his illness has demonstrated decreasing viral loads that correlate with increasing cycle threshold times, as well as decreasing and now undetectable subgenomic mRNA,” wrote Conley. The doctor said that he will continue to monitor Trump “clinically” as he returns to an active schedule. The president has already announced that he plans to hold a rally in Florida on Friday as he ramps his re-election campaign back up. Saturday, he held an event at the White House, speaking to an audience from a balcony. 1312

WASHINGTON D.C. (KGTV) -- California lawmakers responded Sunday to special counsel Robert Mueller's report.Mueller did not find Donald Trump's campaign or associates conspired with Russia, Attorney General William Barr said in a letter Sunday.Barr wrote that Mueller didn't have sufficient evidence to prosecute obstruction of justice, but he didn't exonerate the President. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Election Day is less than 50 days away, but results from the election could take a lot longer. That's because a record number of voters are voting by mail this election and different states have different rules regarding when those ballots can be opened and processed. Absentee ballots or mail-in ballots generally take a lot longer to count compared to in-person voting machines, because ballots need to be opened and scanned. For instance, in the crucial swing states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, ballots can't be opened until Election Day. That differs from other states, like Colorado, which can open ballots as they come into election offices. That means it will take election officials in those swing states a herculean effort to process and scan ballots to get accurate results by the end of election night. Each state is facing either pending legislation at their State Capitol or various lawsuits asking the rules be changed. Those aren't the only reasons results may be delayed. In many states, like North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada and Minnesota, ballots are allowed to be postmarked on Election Day. That means it may take a few days to arrive to an election office. "I think we are looking at five to seven days to roughly a week," said Ted Trimpa, a political consultant. "The challenge is you are going to have so many states doing mail-in ballots that have never done mail ballots," Trimpa said. And it may not just be swing states that are the issue. In New York, a state that will almost certainty vote Democrat, primary results from earlier this year took four weeks in some cases. Henry Rosoff, a political reporter with WPIX in New York City, explained New York law requires 48 hours to pass after the election before absentee ballots can be counted. "We are not going to even begin to count half of our votes until 48 hours after Election Day," Rosoff said. "If we were a swing state, it would seem absolutely outrageous," Rosoff said. 1994

WASHINGTON (KGTV and AP) — Washington Democrats turned down a deal Monday that would have provided protections for Dreamer immigrants in return for billion in funding for President Trump's border wall.Lawmakers have yet to agree on a .3 trillion catchall spending bill, as well as a major rail project. The bill contains victories for both parties including a Pentagon budget increase requested by Republicans, and the domestic program, infrastructure and opiod crisis funding that Democrats want.Efforts to use the measure as a vehicle to extend protections for young immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival, or DACA, program appeared likely to fail, aides said. Trump killed the Obama-era program in September, but a court decision has essentially left it in place, for now. The White House had revived the idea in recent days — offering on Sunday a 30-month extension of DACA protections in exchange for billion for Trump's border wall — but Democrats demanded protections for a broader pool of immigrants than had signed up for DACA, a request denied by GOP negotiators. There's also a continuing battle over Trump's long-promised U.S.-Mexico border wall. While Trump traveled to Otay Mesa last week to inspect prototypes for the wall, what's pending now is .6 billion for earlier designs involving sections in Texas that double as levees and 14 miles (23 kilometers) of replacement fencing in San Diego. It appears Democrats may be willing to accept wall funding, but they are battling hard against Trump's demands for big increases for immigration agents and detention beds they fear would enable wide-scale roundups of immigrants illegally living in the U.S.Aides believe any measure would be unveiled Tuesday for a House vote Thursday. House and Senate action is needed by midnight Friday to prevent another government shutdown. 1897
