The National Football League announced on Wednesday that they'd canceled the 2021 Pro Bowl due to COVID-19.The news comes as the league deals with games being postponed due to players and coaches testing positive for the virus.The league added they are talking with the National Football League's Players Association to replace the game with virtual activities to replace the competition.The league stated that the players will still be named to Pro Bowl teams at the end of the season, which fans can begin voting for starting Nov. 17.The league will announce the results in December.The pro bowl was set to be played in Las Vegas in 2021, but they'll have to wait until 2022 to host it.This marks the first time since 1949 that the league hasn't played the pro bowl, ESPN reported. 791

And so, on this particular day, I was supposed to drop Chase off at day care and then go into the office,” said Harrison.Except, Harrison never got off at the exit for the day care. Instead, he went to work as usual, parked his SUV, worked all day, went to lunch and then at 5 p.m., a colleague came to him with a strange question.“They said, ‘hey do you have a doll in your car?’ And I go, ‘a doll?’ And then a sinking feeling. I run out to my SUV and I grab him out of his car seat and I’m screaming, ‘oh God no! Oh God no! Not Chase! Oh God.’”Harrison's 21-month-old Chase died of a heat stroke in his car seat.Eventually, Harrison was questioned by police.“I just said, ‘I killed my son.’ I just said, ‘I did and I didn't remember.’”He was charged with involuntary manslaughter, went to trial and was found not guilty. But Harrison says it didn't matter.“There were several times that I thought about taking my own life,” he said. “I just couldn't take it and I was so angry with myself and ashamed of what I had done.”The situation brought international consequences. The NCAA announced on Thursday that college football bowl games can commence this season on December 1.In the past, teams needed to have a 6-6 (.500) record at a minimum in order to qualify for a bowl game. But with most teams playing a truncated schedule, the NCAA is lifting its minimum requirement to qualify for bowl games.The news comes as the Pac-12 announced that it will begin play Nov. 6.
