Seventeen people were killed in the attack.Though the gun sold to the shooter was not the AR-15-style rifle used in the shooting, Stack said he couldn't stand being part of the narrative of mass shootings."We had a pit in our stomach," he told CNN soon after the shooting. "We did everything by the book that we were supposed to do, from a legal standpoint, we followed everything we were supposed to do. And somehow this kid was still able to buy a gun from us."The decisionStack told CBS the controversial decision cost his company about a quarter of a billion dollars in revenue.Dick's is not the only national chain to be grappling with gun sales.Walmart announced in September that it would reduce its gun and ammunition sales significantly, also requesting that customers no longer open carry guns into their stores, even in states that allow open carry. 1997

"Although, some studies have found the opposite."Dr. Dajani says light therapy comes with claims of reducing stress and pain while improving sleep.It’s become so popular, the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas opened the Blu Room using UV-B light, but Dr. Dajani says there are people who shouldn't use light therapy – those with autoimmune disorders."So, in that case, red and blue light may be harmful, but for the general public, they are safe."This new trend isn't cheap. A single session can cost around .So, whether you try it out, Dellebovi says it’s about more than just sitting under a light."The amount of noise we experience and constantly all day every day, I think anyone can benefit to take 10 minutes and just disconnect and spend a little time for yourself," said Dellebovi. 1816

  

Despite the rise of streaming services like Netflix, going to the movies is still a billion dollar business in America. COVID-19 has closed the doors of theaters across the nation, but as things start to reopen, some theaters are prepping for incoming changes.The Ruth Sokolof Theater in Omaha was getting ready for a busy summer, but thanks to the pandemic they were dealt a plot twist. “Our priority is and will continue to be reopening when it’s safe and appropriate to do so,” said Casey Logan, Deputy Director of Film Streams.Their doors have been shut since early March, and with so many seats close together, things will definitely look different when the show goes on.“A checkerboard style seating where there’s groups of seating all with six feet or more apart so that there is that distance between groups in the theaters,” said Logan.He says certain events like one-time screenings with a visiting filmmaker that brings hundreds of people won’t be presented the same or maybe, not at all. “We’re just expected that there would be events that in normal times that we would be presenting that we won’t be able to present in the months ahead,” said Logan.Limited crowd size and social distancing are the two big changes, but there’s other things theaters should consider.“You don’t give the same seat to two consecutive shows and in-between screenings you have to somehow sanitize the theater,” said Dr. Phani Tej Adidam, Chair & Professor of Marketing of Entrepreneurship at UNO.He adds moviegoers should be part of a loyalty program for contact tracing purposes.“If something happens they should have the ability to trace all the people who came in and all the people they were in contact with,” said Adidam.Theaters may struggle with content as well, as summer blockbusters continue to be delayed. Logan says it may take time, but he’s confident the industry will bounce back.“I think people miss that experience of coming to cinemas, we’re certainly hearing from a lot of people that are looking forward to the day when we reopen so that they can have those experiences again,” said Logan.He also says changes to concessions will also be important to limit person to person interaction, and that buying tickets online before the show, is something movie goers should take advantage of. 2313

  

Electric scooter enthusiasts in Nashville, San Antonio and Columbus, Ohio, will have one less brand to ride starting next week.Lyft is ending its scooter service in six cities, the company said in a statement provided to CNN Business. The decision has resulted in 20 layoffs in its bikes and scooters team, which consists of about 400 people.In Atlanta, the e-scooter end date is November 23, according to a message sent to customers."We're choosing to focus on the markets where we can have the biggest impact. We're continuing to invest in growing our bike and scooter business but will shift resources away from smaller markets and toward bigger opportunities," the company said in its statement.The other cities losing their Lyft scooters are Dallas and the Phoenix area.The decision in Atlanta left customers like Ryan Colburn, a master's student at Georgia Tech University, disappointed.
