SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities reached out to the public Tuesday for help finding an assailant who fatally stabbed a 31-year-old man in the Ridgeview-Webster neighborhood just over three months ago.Officers responding to a report of an assault shortly before 10:30 p.m. on June 25 found Leah Capaal Worley suffering from stab wounds to his upper body at Charles Lewis III Memorial Park in the 4300 block of Home Avenue, according to San Diego police.Paramedics took Worley to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.RELATED: Man dies after being found with stab wounds in Webster areaInvestigators determined the stabbing happened in 4600 block Home Avenue and that Worley drove himself to the location where he was found by officers, police said.Investigators have not disclosed a detailed description of the assailant, who was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket at the time of the slaying.Anyone with information about the slaying was asked to call the San Diego Police Department's homicide unit at 619-531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An attempted murder charge was filed Wednesday against a woman who slit the throat of another woman at a Mira Mesa Walgreens store last weekend, in what has been described as a random attack on a complete stranger.Kelly Ann Green, 55, is accused in Saturday morning's attack on an unidentified 59-year-old woman, who suffered a five-inch laceration across her neck.Green faces 10 years in state prison if convicted of the attempted murder charge and a weapon-use allegation, according to Deputy San Diego County District Attorney Mary Naoom.The prosecutor said the victim was filling her prescription at the Walgreens at 10787 Camino Ruiz when Green approached her, grabbed her by the hair and cut her throat.RELATED: Mira Mesa family forced from home after multiple attacksOther store patrons and employees subdued Green following the attack, which was captured on ``gruesome and very disturbing'' surveillance footage, Naoom said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A power outage left nearly 3,200 homes and businesses without electrical service Thursday morning in Del Dios, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos and San Pasqual.The blackout, which initially affected 3,173 utility customers, began shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to San Diego Gas & Electric. By midday, repair crews had restored electrical service to all but 209 of the affected addresses, SDG&E advised. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - It took emergency crews about 20 minutes Monday to free a tree trimmer who wound up trapped in a palm tree, upside down, about 30 feet above the ground in a San Carlos-area neighborhood.The work accident in the 8000 block of Dicenza Lane, south of Mission Gorge Road and west of Golfcrest Drive, was reported about 8:15 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.After firefighters got the victim, a man in his 40s, out of the tree, medics took him to Sharp Memorial Hospital for evaluation of complaints of dizziness and nausea, SDFRD spokeswoman Monica Munoz said. 605
