SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One of the FBI’s 'Ten Most Wanted Fugitives' from Las Vegas may be hiding in the San Diego area, the FBI said Tuesday.Jesus Robert Munguia is accused of bludgeoning his wife to death in 2008 in Nevada. The FBI said Sherryl Sacueza left Munguia and took the couple’s four young children with her. Munguia learned his wife was romantically involved with another man and persuaded her to return home with the children, said agents.Investigators said Sacueza returned and Managua locked the children in a bedroom before driving Sacueza to a remote area, attempting to strangle her, and beating her with what may have been a tire iron.FBI public affairs agent Mollie Halpern said Munguia uses aliases including Mono, Chuy, and Miguel. Munguia has a tattoo on his chest that reads “My Baby Jessica” and a tattoo of a teardrop near his left eye. He is also missing his right index finger. The FBI also believes Munguia may be hiding in Tijuana, Mexico.Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. The agency is offering 0,000 for information leading to Munguia’s arrest. 1144

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for two men suspected in a downtown San Diego shooting spree that left five people injured Monday night.According to San Diego police, the gunfire was reported just after 11 p.m. at several locations in the East Village neighborhood, about three blocks east of Petco Park's tailgate parking lot.The shooting happened not long after the San Diego Padres wrapped up their game against the Washington Nationals at Petco Park.Police said four people were in the 500 block of 15th Street, near Island Avenue, when two men dressed in dark clothing approached the group and opened fire.Moments later, and several blocks from the initial shooting scene, a fifth person was shot in the 1800 block of Island Avenue. All five shooting victims suffered what were considered to be non-life threatening injuries, according to police.Police said the suspected shooters were described as black men between 19-25 years old and 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall. The men were last seen fleeing westbound from the area.A witness in the area told 10News that he heard about a dozen gunshots coming from different locations and two vehicles speeding from the scene. Police did not confirm if they were searching for vehicles as part of the investigation.Police are looking into the possibility the shooting was gang-related.Mayor Kevin Faulconer released the a statement Tuesday afternoon on the shooting. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Picture this: a woman needs to get from Chula Vista to her job in Sorrento Valley. She uses an app to call a smart shuttle, which takes her to a transit center she hops on a subway, and is whisked away.Or, she can drive on a toll lane and get across the county in 20 to 25 minutes."Think about the impossible, take risks. Keep going," said Hasan Ikhrata, the San Diego Association of Government's executive director. Ikhrata and his team unveiled its transit vision for the region Friday, with a target completion of 2050.The goal is to take the reliance off the car or make it more efficient for drivers with lanes that can change purposes based on traffic patterns. Still, it will come at a cost: 7 billion."It's expensive but I think it's worth the investment," Ikhrata said. "I think it's more expensive not to do it than to do it."Ikhrata says the plan will have to go to a public vote, and that it could involve a tax increase. But, he said federal and state governments would match every dollar spent locally with nearly two and a half of their own.Friday's presentation to the SANDAG board of directors was entirely informational, so there was no vote. The agency's staff will return in December with more details on projects and schedules. 1277

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Monday afternoon, the San Diego City Council rescinded regulations on short-term rentals in an 8-1 vote. On Aug. 1, the council voted 6-2 in favor of rules to regulate short-term vacation rentals in San Diego. The regulations were set to take effect in July 2019.  These regulations limited the rentals to primary residences, which would force some investors or owners of more than one home to sell their properties or rent them out long-term.City Councilwoman Lorie Zapf was Monday’s lone vote against the repeal. The group Share San Diego called Monday's vote "an important step towards fair and effective short-term rental regulations." 690
