BUFFALO, N.Y. – A powerful moment was caught on camera at an upstate New York protest.Officer Armonde “Moe” Badger with the Buffalo Police Department led protesters in the hymn, “We Shall Overcome” on Tuesday. In a video of Badger’s performance, you can see protesters gathered around the officer and singing along.Badger is one of department’s two “singing cops” who use their vocal prowess for community outreach throughout the city. The officer’s gesture comes at a time of volatility between law enforcement and demonstrators following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Floyd died in police custody on Memorial Day after a police officer pressed his knee against the 46-year-old's neck for several minutes, even as the man said, “I can’t breathe.” That officer, Derek Chauvin, and three others involved have been fired. And, Chauvin has been charged with Floyd’s murder, but the other cops have not been arrested.Since Floyd’s death, people across the world have taken to the streets to demand justice and to call for an end to systemic racism within law enforcement. 1092

BUFFALO, N.Y. — It's chicken nuggets and soft pretzels on the menu at South Buffalo Charter School, but suspension is being served for some lunchroom workers. Three are seen in pictures, posted on a fourth worker's public Instagram account. They are posing on a prep table in the school cafeteria. One of the pictures shows a woman on her knees, with her feet on the table, and a peeled banana held in a phallic position. The woman who took the pictures told 7 Eyewitness News I-Team reporter Ed Drantch, "it was a joke."The pictures were anything but a joke for Dave Cervi, President of Personal Touch Food Service, a third-party vendor that is hired by the school for food service."I can't believe anyone that works in a school, with children, would even consider doing something like that. It was horrifying to us," Cervi said.Personal Touch has been under contract with South Buffalo Charter School for five years.Cervi says this is the first time he's ever dealt with something like this. He says he had the four employees surrender their school ID tags to Principal David Ehrle, and walked out of the building."Everyone has an understanding, upon being hired, this is not the type of behavior you do in general, but certainly not at a school. We don't condone it and we're here to provide a safe environment for the students," Ehrle said. The woman who took these pictures has her own children enrolled at this school. Nearly 1,000 students are enrolled. The pictures were posted four days ago on the worker's public Instagram account. They have since been taken down and the account made private. That was only after the 7 Eyewitness News I-Team spoke to the worker on the phone and before she and her three co-workers were suspended.Personal Touch Food Service says they will not be back until at least next week, when the internal investigation is completed. 1884

Attorney General William Barr is not sending the "principal conclusions" of special counsel Robert Mueller's report to lawmakers Saturday, multiple congressional sources and a DOJ official tell CNN.In a letter to lawmakers Friday, Barr wrote that he may be in a position to share the principal conclusions "this weekend."Barr wrote in his letter that throughout the investigation, Justice Department leaders never told the special counsel a proposed action should not be pursued. The completion of the special counsel's investigation marks the end of one of the most dramatic chapters in Donald Trump's presidency, one that led to numerous criminal charges against and guilty pleas by some of his closest associates. The conclusion of the investigation, however, opens a new chapter into the fallout from the report -- a potentially fraught political battle over the extent to which its contents are made public and further investigations from congressional Democrats. It's too soon to say what Mueller's report will ultimately mean for the President, but surviving the investigation without being subpoenaed for a sit down interview with the special counsel's team is a significant triumph for Trump and his legal team. It's not clear what Mueller uncovered about Trump's involvement or advance knowledge, if any, of WikiLeaks' release of damaging information about Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. The special counsel's findings on the question of obstruction of justice are also unknown, but Trump's allies will likely argue anything short of a criminal indictment proves the President did nothing wrong. 1624

Atlanta’s mayor says two police officers have been fired and three placed on desk duty pending review over excessive use of force during a protest incident Saturday night.Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said at a news conference Sunday that she and police Chief Erika Shields made the decision after reviewing body-camera footage. Shields called it “really shocking to watch.”Officials say the incident came to light via video that circulated online. It shows a group of police officers in riot gear and gas masks surround a car being driven by a man with a woman in the passenger seat. The officers pull the woman out and appear to use a stun gun on the man. They use zip-tie handcuffs on the woman on the ground. The couple did not appear to be fighting police on the video.Bottoms said charges have been dropped against the woman, and the man has been released.Local reporters, who captured footage of the incident, said the police had earlier broken the glass on the car. A reporter said police also flattened the tires. The city is under curfew again Sunday night.I watched this unfold last night. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy made it clear he has no interest in seeing his employees unionize. On Monday, Portnoy threatened to fire any employee who makes contact with a writer for Live Science about information on unionizing. In a tweet on Monday, Portnoy wrote, "If you work for @barstoolsports and DM this man I will fire you on the spot." This tweet was in response to a tweet from Rafi Letzter who wrote, "If you work for Barstool and want to have a private chat about the unionization process, how little power your boss has to stop you, and how you can leverage that power to make your life better: my DMs are open."According to the National Labor Relations Board, Portnoy's tweet could potentially break labor regulations. One of the examples the labor board lists for potential violations of the law is, "Threatening employees with loss of jobs or benefits if they join or vote for a union or engage in protected concerted activity."Portnoy's tweet has also drawn backlash from Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She responded to Portnoy's tweet. "If you’re a boss tweeting firing threats to employees trying to unionize, you are likely breaking the law &can be sued,in your words, 'on the spot.' ALL workers in the US have the protected freedom to organize for better conditions," she tweeted. The exchange between Portnoy and Ocasio-Cortez even drew the attention from Donald Trump Jr. Picking a fight with 1450
