(KGTV) - Southwest Airlines announced plans to begin offering flights to four Hawaiian airports later this year.The airlines will begin selling tickets sometime in 2018 for flights to Honolulu International Airport, Lihue Airport, Kona International Airport at Keahole, and Kahului Airport.Southwest didn't say when the flights would begin service to the islands, prices for flights, or from which airports flights would depart from on the U.S. mainland.A Hawaii-specific page on Southwest's website has since gone live as well.Southwest is reportedly waiting for federal regulatory approvals as certification is required for flights over long distances of water, multiple outlets reported. Extra pilot training and stringent maintenance and replacement of parts are required for flights making such a trip.The news comes on the heels of the airlines said ticket sales have dipped in the wake of a fatal accident aboard a Southwest flight earlier this month. 991

(KGTV) -A nonprofit group is stepping up to find a solution following complaints of people living out of their cars across neighborhoods in San Diego. In February, the City of San Diego unanimously voted to repeal a 1983 city ordinance preventing people from living out of their vehicles. The change cleared the way for vehicle dwellers to live on any street within San Diego. A newly-formed resident coalition is documenting what it says are the problems the ordinance created. The information is being sent to San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s office. “We have literally witnessed buckets of waste being thrown out of some of these vehicles. I’ve witnessed drug dealing out of some of the motor homes, we’ve seen bike chop shops operating,” Pacific Beach resident Racheal Allen said. Some people had already began using the parking lot as a camping site, but some residents expressed discontent with that solution. The issue is a concern well beyond San Diego’s city limits. A nonprofit group, Jewish Family Services, is now working on a proposal that could potentially turn a privately-owned church parking lot in San Marcos into a designated space for these campers. Jewish Family Services officials said the group is in the exploration phase of the proposal and is reviewing different sites as options. (KGTV) - Police say they've located the two young boys who went missing late Monday night from their home in Escondido. Both boys were found safe in Oceanside by their uncle, according to authorities. Police said 9-year-old Zackariah Valdez and 11-year-old Daniel Cisneros went missing from their home on the 1500 block of W. Valley Parkway at 10 p.m. Monday, prompting an hours-long search. Throughout the day, the two boys were spotted in several locations before their uncle found them later in the afternoon. The children's mother spoke after the two young boys were located. Viviana Valdez said there was a woman who helped take care of her kids after they went missing. “There was a lady who sheltered my kids for a little bit and fed them and again I don’t know who you are, but I want to say thank you. Thank you for, you know, taking them out of the cold and feeding them,” said Valdez. 938
