CHICAGO, Ill. – Travis Scott has become the first person since Michael Jordan to get a signature meal at McDonald’s.The fast-food chain announced its partnership with the Houston-born rapper last week, saying they plan to collaborate on food, fashion and community efforts.From Sept. 8 through Oct. 4, McDonald’s says it will offer “The Travis Scott Meal,” which includes a Quarter Pounder with cheese, bacon and lettuce, fries with BBQ sauce to dip, and a Sprite. The meal cost and will be offered at all restaurants across the U.S.“This is the first time since 1992 that a celebrity’s name has been featured on the McDonald’s menu, only done prior by the legendary Michael Jordan,” wrote McDonald’s in a press release. “To snag The Travis Scott meal, fans can order in-restaurant, for carry-out, at the drive-thru, or through the McDonald’s app.”McDonald’s and Scott say they will be exploring opportunities to support charitable organizations during the month-long program.“I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life,” said Scott. “We are bringing together two iconic worlds. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police arrested a man on suspicion of breaking into a Wells Fargo bank in Chula Vista early Thursday morning.Bank security personnel contacted Chula Vista police at around 2 a.m. after they saw a man break the front window at the branch on 1232 Broadway and enter the business.According to police, security cameras showed the man “going through the drawers behind the counters.”Police surrounded the bank as some officers entered the business. Officers arrested the man, later identified as 25-year-old Rene Torres, without incident.Police said officers at the scene determined Torres “pried open most of the cash drawers but was unable to access the vault or currency storage areas. He did cause a lot of damage to the interior of the building.”ABC 10News learned officers discovered several rolls of coins in the suspect’s backpack that police presumed to be from the bank.Torres was arrested on suspicion of burglary and booked at CVPD headquarters. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man died Friday after a fight broke out at a party in Chula Vista, police say.Chula Vista Police say they were called to the 1100 block of Ocelot Avenue around 11:30 p.m. to investigate a report of a loud party.After arriving on scene, bystanders directed officers to the 400 block of East Oxford in reference to a fight.When they arrived, police found two men bleeding from unknown injuries. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — Sheriff's deputies were led on a wild chase through the South Bay Saturday, ending with a violent crash and three people injured, including a deputy.San Diego Sheriff's deputies were called to a report of a suspect burglarizing a vehicle in the area of 13th St. and Donax Ave. in Imperial Beach just before 10 a.m. When they arrived, the man took off and led deputies on a vehicle pursuit into San Ysidro.During the pursuit, deputies say the suspect hit a female driver on Dairy Mart Rd. before continuing northbound on Interstate 5, onto side streets in Chula Vista, and back onto NB I-5. At times, the driver reached speeds of 100 mph, deputies say.The woman was not injured, SDSO said.The pursuit came to an end when the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a bridge at the top of the H St. offramp. A deputy involved in the pursuit crashed into another vehicle at the top of the offramp as well. Both the deputy and that driver were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.The crash was so intense, it rained vehicle wreckage on the freeway below and damaged a woman's windshield. Bridge railings and fencing were also damaged, SDSO said.The suspect fled on foot from the crash, heading down the H St. offramp and onto the shoulder of I-5 before deputies captured him. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. 1393

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A group of neighbors in Eastlake are using social media to support each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jason Anderson created the Facebook page called 'Eastlake - Support COVID-19'. He got the idea after seeing another post on social media. He initially created the group to make sure children staying home from school wouldn't go hungry. The group is now being used for community members to find things like toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and food. Nothing on the group is for sale, Anderson says neighbors are just helping each other by paying it forward. The group has grown to over 800 members in just three days. The leaders of the group are hosting regular conference calls to plan and stay organized. The group is now brainstorming how to best help elderly members in the community since they might not be as social media savvy.
