A Nashville man with a "chronic booking history” was jailed overnight Wednesday, marking his 539th arrest in the Music City.According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, most of Robert Brown's arrests were petty misdemeanor charges, like the latest one for criminal trespassing and public intoxication.He was arrested Wednesday at an Exxon station on Rosa Parks Boulevard for allegedly refusing to leave and arguing with an employee.Police arrived and noted that he was "intoxicated to a point that he was a danger to himself and others."The 48-year-old man has arrests dating back to 1994, when he was 25-years-old. A man wanted in connection with a quadruple murder in Detroit has shot himself, according to police. George Anthony Davis, 27, shot himself near the Ohio Turnpike after leading police on a chase.Police said Davis shot and killed three people, a man and two women, at a gas station iin Detroit Monday morning. The male victim was identified as Deacon Ralphael Hall, leader at a local church, his 26-year-old daughter Cierra Bargineer and 21-year-old Kristen Thomas.Police say surveillance cameras captured everything; a man pulled up in a silver sedan and started talking to people in a gray Dodge SUV. Seconds later, the man in the sedan shot the people in the SUV and shot at the man pumping gas.When he ran out of bullets, he went back to his car to reload, and came back to shoot more. Police say Bargineer was the mother of his child.Second Shooting LocationHe then gets in the car and goes to Faust Street and has a conversation with an adult male cousin and fatally shoots him, police said.  The suspect then goes to a gas station on Faust and takes a 2007 blue Nissan Ultima.Davis was on the run for several hours before police confirmed that he shot himself. A new rule change will allow parents to get their children vaccinated at pharmacies in all 50 states.“Her pediatrician wanted her to have a pneumonia vaccine because of what’s going on with COVID. Unfortunately, the pediatrician doesn’t stock it, it’s expensive to order,” said Theresa Tolle, who owns a pharmacy in Florida.She was recalling a story involving one of her customers who needed to get her daughter a vaccine.“The Health Department didn’t have it and the mom was losing her mind. Calling everywhere and nobody, no pharmacy can give it because of the laws in our state,” said Tolle.It’s a story a lot of parents can relate to, especially around back-to-school time. Because of the laws in Florida and many states, Tolle, who is licensed to administer vaccines to adults, wasn’t able to do the same for this young girl.“Ultimately, what I ended up doing is ordering it for mom, ran it through her insurance, she picked it up, had it taken to the pediatrician to administer,” said Tolle.For many busy parents, making an additional appointment and taking time off to get their kids a shot can be a headache.But the Department of Health and Human Services just made a rule change that might make things easier. It allows for pharmacies in every state to administer vaccines to kids aged three to 18.According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, after kids turn three, they should still get major immunizations like second doses of the measles, mumps, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria and others. And don’t forget to add an annual flu shot.“As long as it increases vaccination rates, I think it’s fantastic,” said Dr. Malcolm Anderson.Anderson works in the Pediatric ICU at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Colorado. He’s very supportive of the rule change.“In the pediatric ICU, we only see the children that don’t get vaccinated and then when they get one of the illnesses they would have been protected against. That’s when we see them. So, I think anything that would help them get one of those bad illnesses would be amazing and help the parent avoid the stress and hardship of going through an ICU admission and seeing their kid very ill,” said Anderson.Before the rule change, 30 states had restrictions on vaccines being administered by pharmacies. Three states, including Florida, did not allow it at all.But now, pharmacies in all states can give flu shots to kids and adults.“This fall, they are heavily trying to promote flu shots to try and help protect all patients, all ages,” said Tolle.“If you’re at the pharmacy refilling your meds every three months or every month, then it’s nice to be like, oh, you’re offering flu shots here, I’m already getting my meds,” said Anderson.Theresa says she thinks that the rule change could also get the country ready for mass distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine.“Just COVID vaccine coming. We know little about that right now, but this order in theory would prepare pharmacists to be able to do that,” said Tolle.Until a COVID-19 vaccine comes, Tolle says she’s just happy to be able to give kids the immunizations they need to stay healthy. 3137

A mother in Mesa, Arizona is voicing concern after her child's 4th-grade teacher changed words in the Declaration of Independence, and made the students recite the altered version in class.The teacher at Salk Elementary school crossed out the words "man" and substituted it with "human".The mother, Elizabeth Vaillencourt said the teacher's goal may have been to include women as well, but she went too far in altering a historical document.When Vaillencourt took this concern to school officials, she was initially told she had "hurt the teacher's feelings" by posting about it on social media.The school reacted by removing Vaillencourt's child from that teacher's classroom, and placing them under a different teacher.On Wednesday, Vaillencourt said the superintendent's office contacted her to tell her what the teacher did was against school policy.A Mesa Public Schools spokeswoman says they have policies in place when it comes to school ceremonies which includes reciting the Declaration of Independence. 1030

A parrot in the United Kingdom used his owner’s Alexa to shop online while his owner was away, according to the Daily Mail. According to the paper, the parrot’s owner, Marion Wischnewski, decided to foster him after volunteering at a sanctuary. The bird was placed at the sanctuary because staff feared his use of swear words would upset people. After taking the bird home, Wischnewski, said she started noticing that the bird was purchasing things like watermelon, raisins, ice cream, a light bulb and even a kite while she was away.
