CINCINNATI, Ohio — Body camera videos from the two police officers sent to investigate a 911 call from a teenager trapped inside a mini-van in a school parking lot don't show the officers exit their patrol car.The two videos show about three minutes of the search for Kyle Plush from two different perspectives. Police previously said the officers spent about 11 minutes searching. Plush's gold Honda Odyssey is not visible in the video.Plush, 16, called 911 twice on the afternoon of April 10. Officers Edsel Osborn and Brian Brazile, riding double as Unit 2232, responded to the school after his first call.Police said the officers didn't find anything, and received no answer when they tried calling Plush. The body camera videos, which police released Friday in response to a public records request, show the officers driving around a parking lot, but never getting out of their vehicle.The videos show the officers turn into the parking lot south of the Seven Hills School Resale Shop. Plush's van was parked in the lot north of the shop, on the same side of Red Bank Road. COVID-19’s disproportionate impact on people living with diabetes is a growing concern.The American Diabetes Association says nearly 40% of COVID-19 deaths have been from those with the disease, while 90% of the hospitalizations have been people with diabetes or other underlying conditions.“Diabetes was a health crisis and epidemic in this country before the pandemic, and what the pandemic has done really is shine a very bright light on an old problem,” said Tracey Brown, CEO of the American Diabetes Association.Brown has lived with diabetes for 16 years. She's worried about additional financial struggles brought on by the pandemic.Even before COVID-19, one in four people were rationing their insulin to get by.Brown says the current unemployment rate is higher among people with diabetes. So, the burden has only worsened for those that have lost health coverage because of job loss.The disease also disproportionately impacts people of color living in low income areas.Brown says even now in 2020, every 5 minutes, someone in the U.S. loses a limb because of complications from diabetes.“There are so many comorbidities that go along with this, which is another reason why I talk about the fact that if we want to address the wellbeing of Americans, and improve the wellbeing of Americans, you can't have that conversation without having a conversation about improving diabetes,” said Brown.Brown wants to make sure people with diabetes don't feel like they're alone right now.There's a page of resources available on their website, Diabetes.org. (KGTV) - Coronado city leaders will begin cracking down on the dockless bicycle trend rolling around San Diego, imposing fines and impounding bikes left on the island.City leaders have moved to declare the transportation alternative a public nuisance and will start impounding bikes left in the city. Coronado has banned bike-sharing companies from setting up shop on the island, but riders are allowed to pick them up and ride them into the city.Therein lies Coronado's problem. Much like the trend around San Diego, Coronado residents have grown concerned with bikes being left on sidewalks and in the right-of-way.Ken Hewitt is one of several local bike shop owners who fought to keep the bikes off the island. "Every bike you see going by there is a potential rental," he said. "We're a small island here.  San Diego's got a lot more real estate and a lot more spaces."So, now the city plans to tag any bikes left in the public-right-of-way, remove them, and charge the companies - to pick them up. The bikes are GPS-enabled, so the city and residents say the companies should know exactly where to find them. 1174

CLEVELAND — An American Airlines flight headed to Cleveland Saturday afternoon had a scary setback after the windshield cracked mid-flight, according to American Airlines.The flight, which departed from O'Hare International Airport in Chicago around 1:30 p.m., was in the air for approximately 30 minutes before a mechanical issue with the windscreen occurred and forced the flight to return to the airport, American Airlines said.American Airlines said that the plane landed safely and taxied to the gate without incident, and after changing aircraft, re-departed for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.No injuries to any customers or crew members were reported, American Airlines said.This story was originally published by Camryn Justice on WEWS in Cleveland. 775
