Thousands of elevator permits in San Diego County are out of date, according to the Department of Industrial Relations. In San Diego and Imperial Counties, a DIR spokesperson said there are 12,541 elevator permits issued. Of those, 6,932 are expired. DIR spokesperson Frank Polizzi said there is no penalty for expired permits, “but a unit should not be running if it has been tagged out of service for a maintenance/safety reason.”Team 10 visited several elevators in downtown San Diego and found there was no permit displayed in the elevator at all—including an elevator at Horton Plaza and one operated by the City of San Diego. (KGTV) – A U.S. Army veteran who has been living in Mexico for the past eight years found out Thursday that he is being granted citizenship.Hector Barajas was granted a full pardon by Governor Jerry Brown in 2017 for a conviction that led to his deportation, according to the ACLU.In 2001, Barajas was convicted of shooting at an occupied motor vehicle and sentenced to prison, leading to the deportation.Barajas has been waiting for a decision since he passed the English and civic portions of his naturalization requirements in 2016.RELATED: U.S. army veteran fights to return after deportation?In 2017, Barajas filed a lawsuit in an effort to compel officials to make a decision on whether or not to grant him citizenship. Three people were killed and 16 were injured after a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus and a private tour bus collided in Queens, causing one of the buses to crash into a building.The driver of the Dahlia Travel and Tours bus, which struck the building, was killed in the crash, along with a passenger in the MTA bus and a pedestrian on the sidewalk, according to the NYPD."We've had a really tragic morning here in Flushing, Queens.
