SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More people have tested positive at the San Diego Convention Center, which has been serving as a shelter for San Diego's homeless since April.Regular testing has been conducted at the Convention Center since the shelter opened, but there was a rise in positive cases starting with tests administered on Dec. 3. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver they say struck and killed a pedestrian in Mission Hills Thursday before fleeing the scene.According to police, the 57-year-old man was struck by the vehicle while crossing the street on the 1300 block of West Washington Avenue just after midnight. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - More than 140 items stolen from an auto crime spree in San Diego have been recovered and now, authorities are trying to track down their owners.Malcolm Brown, 22, and Alexis Carr, 25, were arrested in connection with the crime spree. Brown has pleaded guilty to vehicle theft and residential burglary, while Carr has pleaded guilty to auto theft and burglary.The two were located after Chula Vista Police found a stolen vehicle at a motel parking lot. According to the district in the report, the 2018-19 budget had a ,220,001 deficit.The report stated that the district's salary and benefits costs "continue to increase year after year at a rate greater than revenue growth."The college district "has a high probability of fiscal insolvency in the near future" at its current pace, the report warned. The report adds that in two years the district "will have consumed all reserves and will be forced to borrow .5 million from an external source to remain solvent."The district said placing Blake on leave was not as a disciplinary action but "as a precautionary measure to protect all parties."
