BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- According to Russian arrangements, a formal meeting of the BRICS Ministers of Foreign Affairs will be held in early September, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Friday.

Being each other's largest neighboring country, China and Russia are the world's largest countries in terms of population and territorial area respectively, he said, noting that the larger a country's size, the greater its responsibility.

First, the two sides should strengthen the political guidance for bilateral relations, enhance political mutual trust, converge common ground and resolve differences, he said.
