Imagine your child having a disorder that impacts his motor skills, such as walking. And imagine not knowing if your insurance would cover a basic item he needs to help him walk. That's what Christian and Justin Moore were experiencing when they walked into a Home Depot in Cedartown, Georgia, on May 24.Their son Logan is 2 and has hypotonia, a syndrome that impacts his muscle tone and makes stability a struggle. His mom told CNN that Logan's physical therapist suggested a gait trainer to help him with walking, but they did not think insurance would cover it and wondered whether it would arrive in a reasonable time.So she and her husband turned to YouTube, where they found a tutorial to make one out of PVC pipe."I found a video that looked pretty easy and got the list and took it to Home Depot to see if they had everything we needed," Christian Moore said. When they arrived, she asked a store employee she knew if anyone could help them with the supply list. Christian said what happened next shocked her. She was met by a store manager and another employee who came to help."They started getting the parts together and told us they would put it together and would not charge us for it," she said. "They told us to go get ice cream and come back in an hour."When they returned the walker was finished and even included Logan's name."I couldn't believe they were willing to do that. It took everything I had not to cry because it hasn't been an easy road for my son. He has had a hard time doing things that would be easy for most children his age," Moore said. One of the men who helped make the walker, Jeff Anderson, posted about the experience on his Facebook page and said, "Everyone was crying to see Logan walk around with the biggest smile on his face...Thank to all that help and for being a blessing to this family and to this little guy.""There are so many children out there with hypotonia, more than you would think," Christian Moore added. "I am grateful to be able to share that there are still good people around to help."The-CNN-Wire? & ? 2019 Cable News Network, Inc., a Time Warner Company. All rights reserved. 2154

It took a few hours for the news to be released, but by all indications, Ryan Newman is okay. NASCAR officials said Newman had non life-threatening injuries following a horrific crash at the end of the Daytona 500 on Monday.Newman is in serious condition after being transported to the hospital. As Newman approached the finish line of the Daytona 500 on Monday, he was set to win his first Daytona 500 in 12 years. But a nudge from behind sent Newman into the wall as his competitors crossed the finish line. The crash allowed Denny Hamlin to win his second straight Daytona 500. As Hamlin celebrated the win, attention quickly turned to Newman, whose car spun out of control and burst into flames. After Newman's car struck the wall and flipped, it was then struck at full speed by Corey LaJoie's vehicle, causing Newman's car to flip again. Emergency crews raced to rescue Newman following the stunning crash. The celebration for Hamlin was subdued following the race."I think we take for granted sometimes how safe the cars are," Hamlin said. "But No. 1, we're praying for Ryan. Worked really well with Ryan through this whole race, and obviously he got turned right there."Ryan Blaney, who came in second place, described his view of the incident. "We pushed Newman there to the lead, and then we got a push from the 11 (Danny Hamlin's car), and I made a move off 4 (Kevin Harvick's car) on Newman and he blocked it and I kind of went low and he blocked that, so then I was committed to just pushing him to the win and trying to have a Ford win it, and I don't know, we just got bumpers hooked up wrong and turned him," Blaney said. "I hope he's all right. Looked pretty good. Definitely was trying to push him to a win. I don't want to say those things happen. I feel really bad about it."The Daytona 500 was pushed to Monday after rain forced the postponement of the race on Sunday.Watch video below of the race's finish:Here is the final lap of the Daytona 500 in which Ryan Newman's car was flipped at the line. We will continue to keep you updated on his status as we learn more. 2101

In an emotional scene that played out on CNN Sunday evening, Chief Medaria Arradondo of the Minneapolis Police told George Floyd’s family that all four officers involved in Floyd’s death are “complicit” in his death. While members of Floyd’s family listened in live, the family wanted to know what should be done with the officers who watched as Derek Chauvin held a knee to Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes. Moments after Floyd's arrest, Floyd was pronounced dead at a Minneapolis hospital. Standing among those paying tribute to Floyd in Minneapolis Sunday evening, Arradondo removed his hat as he addressed the Floyd family directly for the first time since last week’s tragedy. Chauvin was charged with murder earlier this week. "To the Floyd family: being silent or not intervening to me you're complicit. So I don't see a level of distinction any different,” Arradondo said. “So obviously the charging and those decisions will have to come through our County Attorney's office. Certainly the FBI is investigating that. But to the Floyd family, I want you to know that my decision to fire all four officers was not based on some sort of hierarchy. Mr. Floyd died in our hands.”Arradondo later added, "Silence and inaction, you're complicit. You're complicit. If there were one solitary voice, it would have intervened and acted -- that's what I would have hoped. Unfortunately, that did not occur."The moment can be watched below. 1451
