CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Firefighters are battling a major fire in Corpus Christi following a pipeline explosion along the city's refinery row.The blast happened just after 8:05 a.m. near Lantana and I-37, possibly at EPIC Products near Lantana and Navigation.Firefighters said the fire ignited a barge, which became fully engulfed. The fire then spread from the pipeline to the grain elevator.KRIS reports that multiple people during the explosion ended up in the water.CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline representatives said they are treating four people from the explosion. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. Two victims are being flown to Brooke Army Medical Center burn units in San Antonio.Corpus Christi Mayor Joe McComb said there is a search and rescue operation for four people who are still missing.KRIS has learned that EPIC Products had a brand new pipeline built for loading. It was reportedly going in at the facility when there was a pipeline rupture at the barge loading dock.According to Lieutenant Marina Lyons with the US Coast Guard, a dredge struck a submerged pipeline causing a fire in the Corpus Christi ship channel. Coca-Cola will soon be giving Japanese consumers a new kind of buzz.In a departure from its traditional soda business, Coke plans to launch an alcoholic drink in Japan this year. It's trying to get in on the growing market for "chu-hi" -- canned, flavored drinks typically made with sparkling water and shochu, a Japanese spirit distilled from grains.The new drink is a "highly Japan-specific approach given the complexity and richness" of Coke's range of products in the country, Coke spokesperson Yohko Okabe told CNN on Wednesday.The company declined to give further details on the plans, but in a recent blog post, the president of Coca-Cola Japan said the drink would be "unique" in Coke's history."We haven't experimented in the low alcohol category before," Jorge Gardu?o said in the post.The storied soft drinks company is set to enter a crowded market. DADE CITY, Fla. — Pasco County Fire Rescue is working to extinguish a large fire that destroyed three chicken coop barns early Thursday morning.Officials say an employee who lives on the Cal-Maine Foods property, located in Dade City, called in the first alarm around 1 a.m.When firefighters arrived on the scene, they immediately called for a second alarm after noting the size of the fire.The fire destroyed three barns that each contain up to 80,000 chickens each, and officials say at least 250,000 chickens total were killed.Crews were forced to battle the flames from an exterior position because the buildings were collapsing and propane tanks were going off.“We’re trying to keep everyone safe. We’re trying to fight the fire from outside the building," Chief Shawn Whited of Pasco County Fire Rescue said. "We haven’t been able to enter those buildings yet just because of the amount of fire and the number of hazards that are in there.”A front end loader also responded to assist in the firefighting efforts.This part of Pasco County is rural and there are no water hydrants nearby. Clark County Deputy Fire Chief Jon Klassen recalls a moment that occurred around 2 a.m.—just a few hours after the gunfire ceased at the Route 91 Music Festival.  He calls it “one of the most meaningful, symbolic things” he has ever seen in 30 years in the business.Klassen was working with other paramedics and a crime scene investigator, combing through the grisly aftermath of the concert grounds, helping to confirm fatalities when one woman in particular stood out.“She just was so beautiful and peaceful,” Klassen recalls. “And quiet.”He said it almost just looked like she was laying there, watching TV, when he noticed something around her eye.“Just one tear drop,” he said, still sounding like he has trouble believing what he saw. He remembers reacting to it and just thinking, “me too.”“I am so with you, dear.”Klassen would soon learn that this woman, one of the 58 victims whose lives were cut short by a gunman perched in a hotel room, was 46-year-old Lisa Patterson. A wife. A mother of three.Her husband, Robert, went through a 22-hour ordeal to track down his wife, as detailed in a heart-wrenching account in a local newspaper.Upon hearing word that this deputy fire chief had something he would like to share if it’s something Lisa’s family would want to hear, Robert contacted Klassen.“We had a great conversation. And it was comforting and closing and cathartic for him. And I was able to tell this 16-year-old kid, ‘Your mom was beautiful, and peaceful and quiet.’”The two have spent some time together since that initial phone conversation, and Klassen now considers Bob Patterson a friend.Despite the fact that it has been four weeks since the attack, very little information has come to light and many questions remain, including the timing of when security guard Jesus Campos, the first to arrive at the gunman’s room, arrived on scene. Authorities have offered varying accounts in the weeks since. There is also still no word on a motive.But none of that frustrates Klassen.
