PEORIA, Ill. — Bradley University in central Illinois is requiring its entire student body to quarantine for two weeks because of clusters of COVID-19 on campus and is reverting to remote learning, officials announced Tuesday.Officials of the private university said they have linked a spike of the coronavirus to off-campus gatherings. At Sunrise Hwy and Old Highway 80, the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans established a checkpoint requiring snow chains to proceed toward higher elevations of Mt. Laguna. The drive eastbound on Interstate 8 from San Diego was largely heavy rain and wind until Highway 79, when the rain turned to snow at about 3,700 feet. Pfizer announced Friday that it would submit a request to the FDA Friday for its COVID-19 vaccine to be granted Emergency Use Authorization.Earlier this week, Pfizer said that a final analysis of trial results showed the vaccine is 95% effective.“Our work to deliver a safe and effective vaccine has never been more urgent, as we continue to see an alarming rise in the number of cases of COVID-19 globally.
