Juliana Hart said it's something she's never seen before and thought it was "kind of comical" to witness Disney cast members remove a snake from the entrance to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It's like it was something from the movie, "Jungle Book!" JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Multiple people are dead and injured after a fellow gamer fired about a dozen rounds in the middle of a tournament in Florida. A gaming expert says there was limited security.Gayle Dickie, CEO of Gamer World News, said these kinds of tournaments happen all over the world and all the time."This is horrifying, really," she said.The shots rang out on the second and final day of the Madden 19 Tournament. Players entered Chicago Pizza on the first floor of Jacksonville Landing and Dickie said there was little security."It's unfortunate because it was a smaller event, I mean it wasn't a large event," Dickie said. "If you go to events like the Barclay's Center or Staple's, you're going to go through a metal detector."Inside, gamers entered their own world."It is probably the biggest quality of a gamer, to have that intense focus, so everybody was focused on gameplay," Dickie said. She added that made it easy for 24-year-old David Katz to find his targets."It sounds like he knew who he was going after, so you know and you saw the two players sitting there. I saw the video and you can see them sitting there, and it didn't take him long, you know, obviously he knew what he was looking for," she said.Dickie said gamers can be as young as 12-years-old at these competitions."It's just shaken the core of the gamer community. Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin on April 26 signed House Bill 528, which makes Kentucky the first state in the country to establish a blanket presumption "that joint custody and equally shared parenting time is in the best interest of the child" in every divorce case."This should lead to less fighting between parents because we're not pitting parents against parents anymore in a winner-take-all situation," National Parents Organization Kentucky chairman Matt Hale said. "We think that'll lead to less parenting conflict and better outcomes for children."The law includes provisions to disqualify unfit parents based on histories of domestic violence or significant mental health problems as well as physical distance that would make co-parenting impractical.In general, Hale said, the new law will ensure children don't automatically "lose" a parent to divorce and parents' relationships after divorce don't have to become hostile over custody issues."What kid wouldn't want both of their parents in their life?" divorced mother Alexandra Beckman said. LA JOLLA, Calif (KGTV) - A La Jolla man is turning recycled plastic into stuffed animals to help teach kids the importance of protecting the ocean.Malte Niebelschuetz created the "Shore Buddies" in 2014. He started with four animals: Steven Seagull, Sammy the Seal, Emma the Whale and Fin the Dolphin. Now, he's running a Kickstarter campaign to help create a new doll, Shelly the Sea Turtle. He's also hoping to publish a children's book that he wrote starring the animals."The kids, they are our future," he says. "They will shape this planet into a plastic-free society."The stuffed animals are made out of recycled plastic. Each animal uses six plastic bottles. Niebelschuetz says the plastic is broken down into a fiber, which is then turned into yarn."In just four years, we've kept more than 100,000 plastic bottles out of the ocean and turned them into fluffy, cute Shore Buddies," he says.Neibelschuetz is taking the dolls and book to schools across San Diego. He reads to the classes and teaches the kids how to keep plastic out of the ocean.Recently, he read at La Jolla's Gillispie School. The school has a "Big Project" going on that gets kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade engaged in issues that affect the community. One of them is human effects on the coastline."I truly believe in being the change you want to see in the world," says Niebelschuetz.
