NEW YORK CITY — A woman was seriously injured Monday night when a man unexpectedly pushed her into a train pulling into a Manhattan subway station, according to the NYPD.Police said the shoving happened around 9:30 p.m. at the West 4th Street-Washington Square subway station near Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village.The 55-year-old woman was standing on the platform when the man suddenly pushed her into a moving train pulling into the station, officials said.The victim hit the side of the train and then fell back onto the platform, police said.She was rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. NEW YORK CITY — A shark washed up on Rockaway Beach in Queens on Monday afternoon, just days before the scheduled reopening of New York City beaches for swimming.The shark appears to have been injured after being caught up on a jetty, a Parks Department spokesperson said. The streaming service announced that it would debut two new radio stations Tuesday: Apple Music Hits focused on popular songs of the '80s, '90s, and 2000s, as well as Apple Music Country, dedicated to the country music genre. “For the past five years, if ever there was a meaningful moment in music culture, Beats 1 was there bringing human curation to the forefront and drawing in listeners with exclusive shows from some of the most innovative, respected, and beloved people in music,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music, Beats, and International Content in a news release. “Now, Apple Music radio provides an unparalleled global platform for artists across all genres to talk about, create, and share music with their fans, and this is just the beginning. NEW YORK – Director Joel Schumacher has died at the age of 80.Schumacher passed away in New York City after a year-long cancer battle, Variety and TMZ have confirmed through the filmmaker’s representation.The native of New York was perhaps best known for directing films in the 1980s and 90s, like “St. Elmo’s Fire,” “The Lost Boys,” “A Time to Kill” and multiple “Batman” films when Tim Burton left Warner Bros.Schumacher's films featuring the caped crusader were "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin."
