A 20-year-old Shelby Township, Michigan man has been charged with making a terrorist threat against Lakeside Mall.Tyler Tindell was arraigned Monday and locked up on 0,000 bond.Police say they received credible word of the threat on Friday. They tracked Tindell down by Friday afternoon. He was arrested at his home and a gun was found.Police say he had sent text messages planning a mass shooting at Lakeside Mall.During the investigation, officers from the Sterling Heights Police Department were sent to provide additional security to the mall and surrounding community.“At no time was the safety of anybody at Lakeside Mall in jeopardy; this, in large part, was because of the communication between all law enforcement agencies involved in this case,” said Sterling Height Deputy Police Chief Mark Coil. 833

(KGTV) — The coroner's office has identified a teenager killed after a student pulled out a handgun and fired at classmates at a Southern California high school Thursday.Gracie Anne Muehlberger, 15, died from her injuries in the shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita. One other student, a 14-year-old boy, also died at Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia, but his identity has not been released.Three other students, 14-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old girl, were injured in the shooting, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva. ABC News and CNN have identified the suspect as 16-year-old Nathaniel Tennosuke Berhow.Berhow, a junior at the high school, died Friday from injuries after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Sheriff's Homicide detectives told ABC News. Detectives said his mother was present at the time of his death.Investigators were still searching for a motive Friday. One detective said the shooting occurred on Berhow's 16th birthday."We have not yet established a motive or a nexus between the subject and his victims," Sheriff's Capt. Kent Wegener said Thursday. Officials added there's no history of Berhow being bullied or belief he "was acting on behalf of any group or ideology."Investigators said they believe the students injured were targeted at random, but added "it wasn't a spur of the moment act."It's unclear how Berhow reportedly acquired the firearm used in the attack. Several firearms were found in his home after investigators served a search warrant. Authorities added that Berhow's father, who's no longer alive, had six firearms registered to his name. None of those firearms matched the ones located by investigators."It's a sad day in Saugus, it's a sad day in Los Angeles County and the nation for another tragic shooting at a school," said Villanueva on Thursday.All schools in the William S. (KGTV) - Two prominent San Diego County leaders are in Washington, D.C., Wednesday to meet with President Trump about California’s sanctuary state laws.County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar and Escondido Mayor Sam Abed are among the 16 California leaders who visited the White House to discuss California’s role in the national immigration landscape with the president.In April, both Abed’s city and the County Board of Supervisors voted in favor of supporting the Trump administration’s lawsuit against California over its sanctuary policies."Each of you has bravely resisted California's deadly and unconstitutional sanctuary state laws," Trump told the group gathered in Washington, D.C.During the Wednesday round table, Trump thanked the leaders, saying they had “bravely resisted California’s deadly and unconstitutional sanctuary state laws.Trump claimed those laws are forcing "the release of illegal immigrant criminals, drug dealers, gang members and violent predators into your communities" and providing "safe harbor to some of the most vicious and violent offenders on earth."Trump also said during the meeting that opposition to the sanctuary state laws are growing, adding that "There's a revolution going on in California."Gaspar told the president, "If you look around this room; your tiny but might team; this is what Gov. (KGTV) — The coronavirus pandemic has forced a traditional holiday treat to be put on hiatus.Just Born Quality Confections says it won't be making their popular Peeps marshmallow treats this Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine's Day. Instead, the company says it will focus on preparing Peeps for next Easter, according to Pennlive.com.Just Born suspended production of the candies last spring as the coronavirus pandemic began, before resuming limited production in May with safety protocols in place for employees.“This situation resulted in us having to make the difficult decision to forego production of our seasonal candies for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day in order to focus on meeting the expected overwhelming demand for Peeps for next Easter season, as well as our everyday candies,” the company told Pennlive.The company's other holiday treats — including Mike and Ike, and Hot Tamales — will also be missing this year, but it expects its seasonal candies to return to shelves by Halloween 2021.The Associated Press contributed to this report. 1072
