SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A man was hospitalized after being shot in San Diego’s Encanto neighborhood, police said Thursday.The shooting occurred at around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday on Imperial Avenue, according to San Diego police.Police said the gunfire detection system ShotSpotter reported shots fired in an area near the 6100 block of Imperial Avenue. A second ShotSpotter activation followed shortly after, this time coming from the 6300 block of Imperial Avenue.Responding officers arrived to find a man lying on the ground in a parking lot of a business. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A marijuana delivery driver was robbed at gun point and shot in North Park late Friday.According to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims, the 21-year-old victim was making a delivery in the 2000 block of Haller Street at about 9:01 p.m. when a gunmen approached his vehicle and demanded marijuana.Related: Million dollar Fed?cartel seizureThe driver grabbed the suspect's gun and as they wrestled for the weapon the driver was shot twice in the right hand. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A new program in San Diego will offer people as much as ,000 to trade in their gas-powered cars for an electric vehicle.In October, the County Board of Supervisors approved the Clean Cars 4 All program. Starting in 2020, the County will get million per year to help low-income families go electric."The problem with electric vehicles is the upfront cost of purchase," says County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher. A 14-gallon car that gets filled up four times per month would cost around ,400 per year. That money could now go back into a family's budget. The same goes for oil changes and many types of car maintenance."When you talk about not having to change oil and not having to maintain and internal combustion engine, you take a big part out of it," says Cole Lowenfield, the General Manager of Mossy Ford in Pacific Beach.In addition to the Clean Cars 4 All program, there are 26 other state and federal grants and tax incentives available to people who want to go electric.
