Have you noticed your favorite foods or products at the grocery store have gone up in price? It could be because a shortage of truck drivers is driving shipping prices up.Currently 50,000 truck drivers are needed to help ship your favorite everyday products across the country. Quincy Jones is the director at Sage Truck Driving School and says there are a few reasons why people aren’t becoming drivers.“Part of the reason is because the average truck driver is 55 years old and with the shortage of millennials coming in," Jones said. With drivers retiring and young people choosing four-year degrees, it's affecting deliveries. Companies like Coke, Hershey’s and General Mills have all said they have to pay more to get their items shipped to stores, which means wallets take a hit."I think ecommerce has a lot to do with it — just with the demand of everybody having to order stuff to have it delivered to their houses instead of actually going out and shopping for it,” Jones said.Being a truck driver can be a lucrative job right out of the gate, and it only takes four weeks of training. That’s one of the reason Sage student Miguel decided to sign up.“The money is really good, especially in this field — and I mean it’s just a lot to offer, benefits and money,” Miguel said. With a shortage of drivers, some companies are offering big signing bonuses for those considering driving. Solo drivers could receive a ,000 signing bonus, and team drivers could receive up to ,000.Jones believes more people would become drivers if they could afford the training.“With increased funding from the government helping with these new students through and getting them into the industry I think that’s a possible way,” he said.Even though Miguel is sacrificing a lot starting this career, he knows it’s beneficial to everyone.“It’s a full cycle. I get to provide for my family to provide for you guys. It’s a good turn around," Miguel said.  1984

From the value meals and dollar menus, fast-food restaurants know how to do it fast and cheap. However, over the past decade, prices have been slowly going up.Datassential, a research company studying restaurant menu trends, found median fast-food hamburger prices have jumped by 54 percent.   At McDonald’s, a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal will cost you almost . At Burger King, the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger meal is almost . So, what’s behind the hike in prices?  Well, if you're a fan of places like Chipotle and Five Guys, that's why.A burger and fries at a Five Guys will cost you around . Casual restaurants like Five Guys have become so popular that fast-food joints like Burger King and McDonald’s realize consumers are willing to pay a few bucks more for food.  Additionally, fast-food workers are finally getting paid a bit more, so in order to offset that cost, chains are charging more for food. But despite the rise in prices, the chains still offer a quick meal and serve up great deals throughout the year. 1077

Googled your name lately? You might be surprised by what you find.If someone has your name and your approximate age, they can find out a lot about you online.Digital journalist Yael Grauer says people search sites like Spokeo, Whitepages, and MyLife make a lot of your personal information widely available.Public records, court documents, real estate, voter rolls,  are all places Grauer says your information is pulled from. And it's up to you to get it taken down. In an article for the website Motherboard, Grauer gives a list of people search sites and how to request that your information be removed. Some sites like MyLife, require a phone call or email. But others have more hoops for you to jump through."They want you to mail your driver’s license," Grauer said.Even then, removal may not be permanent."You have to repeat this process every three months or so," Grauer says of the privacy service.Grauer says the privacy service, Delete Me, offers to continuously have you removed for an annual fee.But Grauer says the easiest way to keep them out of your business is to "be careful about not giving out your information as much as possible."That could mean using a P.O. box or your work address to receive mail — or using your initials instead of your full name when making purchases. 1316

Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Kevin Spacey are among a list celebrities and politicians, who all faced quick and intense backlash from sexual harassment allegations. The scandals sparked the #MeToo movement. Now, a year later, some feel the movement has shifted.“Certainly, after the #MeToo movement, what we have seen [is] survivors have more safe spaces to go to, to access support,” says Bridgette Stumpf, a sexual assault advocate with the Network for Victim Recovery of D.C. “Unfortunately, with the Times survey just over a month ago, that said of women surveyed 60 percent say their environment of reporting sexual harassment assault doesn’t feel any different than a year ago.”Decades-old allegations threatened Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation. Just this week, Special Counsel Robert Mueller says someone offered a woman money to fabricate sexual harassment claims against him.“It doesn’t matter what your political affiliation is, there’s this sense in politics that winning is the most important thing,” Stumpf says.A new poll finds found 4 in 10 surveyed believe the movement has gone too far. The nation is split along party lines, with 75 percent of Republicans saying the #MeToo movement has gone too far, compared to 21 percent of Democrats.Sexual assault advocates say that can have an impact on victims coming forward or being believed.“From a survivor’s perspective, if you already felt the criminal justice might not be a space where you’re believed, your willingness to think that that’s going to get better in this political moment is probably not likely,” Stumpf explains. 1614
