Nearly 1-in-5 new coronavirus cases in the U.S. are among people in their 20s, according to CDC’s data.Those between the ages of 20 and 29 years old have been the largest age group of COVID-19 patients for most of the summer. This age group made up about 15 percent of positive cases in May, then grew to 20 percent in June, 23 percent in July and 21 percent of positive cases in August.In May, COVID-19 patients were more evenly split between 20 to 59 years old, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As the summer progressed, however, other age groups stayed steady or declined as the 20-to-29 age group more than doubled between May and July.“Younger adults make up a large proportion of workers in frontline occupations (e.g., retail stores, public transit, child care, and social services) and highly exposed industries (e.g., restaurants/bars, entertainment, and personal services), where consistent implementation of prevention strategies might be difficult or not possible. In addition, younger adults might also be less likely to follow community mitigation strategies, such as social distancing and avoiding group gatherings,” CDC researchers wrote.They also said younger adults are more likely to have mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, and could unknowingly transmit the coronavirus to others.The increase in cases among children and young adults between 10 and 19 is also sharp. In May, this age group made up 5 percent of total positive COVID-19 cases. They increased to 7 percent of cases in June, 10 percent in July and more than 11 percent of positive cases in August.The increase in younger patients has decreased the average age of COVID-19 patients in the U.S. from 46 years old in May to 38 years old in August.“Infection is not benign in younger adults, especially among those with underlying medical conditions, who are at risk for hospitalization, severe illness, and death,” the CDC states.Younger children, from infants to 9-year-olds, remained 2-4 percent of total positive COVID-19 cases from May to August.“Given the role of asymptomatic and presymptomatic transmission, strict adherence to community mitigation strategies and personal preventive behaviors by younger adults is needed to help reduce their risk for infection and subsequent transmission of SARS-CoV-2 to persons at higher risk for severe illness,” the CDC report concluded.This week, the U.S. topped 200,000 deaths from COVID-19. MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- Authorities are investigating what exactly caused a plane to land on the freeway in the Bay Area Sunday morning, according to The Mercury News. The plane landed on Highway 101 near Morgan Hill around 11 a.m. The plane blocked one lane of the highway before authorities were able to tow it away.The Federal Aviation Administration said engine failure caused the emergency landing.Only the pilot was onboard and was uninjured, authorities confirmed. MILWAUKEE -- Social media is buzzing over a fiasco at a local restaurant involving Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.After Giannis saved the day with a game-winning tip-in with five seconds to go in Sunday’s playoff game against the Boston Celtics – he was ready to celebrate with a victory dinner down the road from the BMO Harris Bradley Center at BelAir Cantina.  But apparently, the restaurant was too busy and did not have enough room to seat him. Patrons inside the restaurant got wind of this and were outraged -- and so was social media. Someone inside the restaurant tweeted a photo of Giannis waiting to be seated and it went viral. That tweet blew up -- getting hundreds of retweets and likes -- with people furious Giannis wasn't seated in a timely fashion. 821

Mykehia Curry is going to be the first member of her family to go to college, but she needed a little help to get there.The Macon, Georgia, teen took out student loans to pay for her tuition and housing at Albany State University, but she didn't have money for some of the things she'd need for her first time living away from home.Curry's mom is on disability, so money has been tight.On Saturday, just days before she was scheduled to leave for school, she asked God for help."I wrote a note that said 'God please help me get the rest of my stuff for college,'" Curry told CNN. "Then I said 'Amen, I love you God' and I wrote my name and number."She tied the note to three helium balloons leftover from her grandmother's birthday celebration and let them go."When I was writing the note, I was just trying to reach out to God. I didn't know where it would land," she said. "I thought that someone would pick it up and call me and tell me they got it or just throw it in the trash."The balloons flew about 15 miles northeast and carried the note to Gray, Georgia.That's where Jerome Jones, a Baptist minister, found it. Jones also works for Georgia Power and spotted the balloons on Monday while he was out on a job."I saw something shiny and floating, so I walked over there and I got it and it was balloons with a note tied to it," Jones told CNN affiliate WMGT. "They floated all night and they landed right in my hands, I mean, practically."He called Curry and offered to buy what she needed."He said they would love to help me out," Curry said. "I was so shocked and surprised."Jones and another member of his church brought her a comforter and refrigerator on Tuesday and now she's on her way to Albany State to get moved into her dorm.She said she plans to keep in touch with Jones and let him know how she's doing at school.Curry will be studying nursing and hopes to get a job on campus in a couple of months after she gets settled in with her classes."I am very excited to meet new people and start my journey and a new chapter in my life," she said. MILWAUKEE –  Drivers for the Milwaukee County Transit System admit they see some strange things along their routes. But this week, one driver could not believe his eyes when he saw a chase — between two animals -— unfold right in front of his bus in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood. Bus surveillance camera shows a coyote sprinting down Holton Street – being chased by a small black cat.The coyote was a surprising enough sight for the bus driver – but the cat made the moment “a first” for the transit system. The Milwaukee County Transit System released the video on their Facebook page  and said:  661
