(KGTV) - Two North County bars have voluntarily closed down because of positive COVID tests.Last Friday, Kate Dionisio went to dinner with her husband at Masters Kitchen and Cocktail."We had dinner and one drink, and stayed about an hour," said Dionisio.A week later, Dinoisio, who has an underlying health condition, says the night of celebration has sparked anxiety."Panic. Scary. We've been so careful with masks and taking precautions, but this felt out of my control," said Dionisio.On Thursday, on the bar's Facebook page, a message announced a recent positive coronavirus test and a voluntary closure for two weeks to best ensure everyone's "health and safety." The bar's owner says an employee was tested on Monday, with the positive result coming on Wednesday. The next day, the same day of the Masters post on Facebook, there was a similar message put up by Mission Avenue Bar and Grill, just a few blocks away. In this case, two employees tested positive. Their post stressed that safety is "our highest priority." It also promised a sanitization by a professional cleaning company. Their reopening date is to be determined, only after every returning staff member has tested negative. The owner of Masters Kitchen and Cocktail says there is no overlap in staff between the bars, but in their industry in Oceanside, "everyone knows everyone."The two bars are just a handful of local bars and restaurants to disclose positive COVID-19 tests. (KGTV) — Every summer, a unique, orange ball can be seen bobbing on the ocean's horizon just off the shore of Ocean Beach.The "David Buoy" was placed off Ocean Beach pier last week, heralding in a summer tradition for the beach town.The buoy is one of several deployed by San Diego lifeguards between North Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach every year for lifeguards to utilize as a workout destination. Rick Strobel and James Murphy, a junior lifeguard program director, helped to standardize the use of buoys every summer for workout programs. In Ocean Beach, a group of Obecians asked Strobel about the buoy and started to swim out to it themselves, Strobel told 10News."It became a topic of discussion, 'did you swim the buoy today,'" Strobel said. "They were also big David Bowie fans and the named it 'David Buoy.'"Strobel says the following year, the group gave him a David Bowie sticker and asked him to place it on the buoy before it was set. (KGTV) — Oceanside Police are asking the public for help finding a missing, at-risk woman who disappeared early Friday following a distressing phone call.Police said Yolanda Michelle Combs, 42, was last heard by her daughter over the phone Friday morning, before her phone suddenly disconnected. Combs' daughter said her mom sounded like she was in distress and needed help. No one has been able to reach Combs since, police said.She is described as a white female, standing 5-foot-2, and weighing about 140 pounds. She has shoulder-length red hair and hazel eyes.
