"I use real stones; I use onyx, pearl, Mother of Pearl, jade, all kinds."Last year, she saved 5. That money was meant to buy Christmas gifts for her family."It took me a whole year to save that money," Ogle said. So she bought 5 in Amazon gift cards at her local Kroger store, and then this happened:"I got home 20 minutes later, tried to use those cards, and they said they have already been used—that's impossible. I just got them," Ogle recalled. She says Amazon told her they couldn't help because she did not order the cards directly from them.Though she had her receipts, Kroger said it could not help because gift cards are like cash. INDIANAPOLIS — A member of Congress has introduced a bill taking aim at protesters. The "Support Peaceful Protest Act," introduced by Indiana Rep. Jim Banks, would ban protesters convicted on crimes such as violence, looting, or vandalism from federal unemployment assistance. It was introduced on August 28, following several nights of demonstrations in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Protesters would also be held financially liable for the cost of federal policing.In a press release, Banks said:"Antifa thugs are descending on suffering communities, disrupting peaceful protests and leaving violence, looting and vandalism in their wake. INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis lawyer is accused of flashing a bus carrying a girls' basketball team on two separate occasions while driving. Norwell High School girls’ basketball coach Eric Thornton said he was driving the girls to a tournament in June when a man pulled up beside their bus on I-70 near the airport and exposed himself. “He knew it was a school bus,” said Thornton. “(He) knew it was high school aged females on the bus.”The man, who police have identified as Raymond Fairchild, then exited the highway before the team could get the license plate on his Honda CRV. “The girls were horrified and just very disturbed,” said Thornton. In an attempt to identify the alleged flasher, Thornton posted a photo taken moments before the incident on social media. That post made its way to Union City where a second girls’ basketball team reported a similar incident last February – from what appeared to be the same man. “Once we found out that he’d done it before it was obvious this was a pattern,” said Thornton. It didn’t take long before someone on Facebook recognized that man as Fairchild and contacted investigators. The 71-year-old is listed as having a law office in downtown Indianapolis. “He should never be allowed to practice law again in my opinion,” said Thornton. “He should be put away for a time.”Fairchild now faces six counts of public nudity and indecency charges. His first court appearance is set for October 26. “It’s a crime against innocent, na?ve girls who just saw abnormal behavior and had no idea what would happen next,” said Thornton. “He needs to be severely punished for his behavior.”  1669

(CNS) - More than 70,000 Orange County residents have been forced from their homes by a wind-whipped wildfire that severely injured two firefighters and was only 5% contained Tuesday.The Silverado Fire had blackened 11,200 acres by Tuesday morning, with 70,000 people under evacuation orders in Irvine and another 6,000 evacuated in Lake Forest, according to the Orange County Fire Authority. More than 750 firefighters have been deployed to battle the flames, and they'll be receiving assistance from 14 helicopters, an OCFA spokesperson said.Unlike most of the day on Monday, firefighters on the ground are being aided by water drops from helicopters, OCFA Capt. Thanh Nguyen said.SILVERADO FIRE MAP, EVACUATION CENTERS"I saw several of them this morning," Nugyen said."It's windy, but not as bad as yesterday," he added.
