Vice President Mike Pence will provide a COVID-19 briefing to healthcare workers in Philadelphia on Thursday.The briefing is the second coronavirus-related briefing in as many days for the vice president. On Wednesday, he held a briefing at the Department of Education in Washington that mainly focused on the Trump administration's plan to reopen schools by fall.At that briefing, Pence promised that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would be releasing new guidelines — echoing criticism from President Donald Trump, who claimed Wednesday that the current CDC guidelines were "too tough." United States Army recruiters around the country will participate in the Army's first nationwide, virtual hiring campaign with the goal of attracting 10,000 new soldiers over three days next week.The campaign will last from June 30-July 2, according to a news release from the U.S. Army.“This is a concerted effort across those three days that really gets everybody in the Army on board," LTC Brittany Simmons, Commander, Indianapolis Army Recruiting Battalion told theindychannel.com. "So you’re going to see the commanding generals at Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, Fort Drum, all of them are going to be involved," Simmons continued. "And so it’s that total Army effort. And while there’s an element that’s ambitious with us, that’s what the Army likes. Tris Pharma issued a voluntary recall notice on Wednesday for Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension due to products that have been found to potentially have higher concentrations of ibuprofen.The recall states that some infants who may be more susceptible to a higher potency level of drug may be more vulnerable to permanent NSAID-associated renal injury.The recall says that nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or more rarely, diarrhea are possible adverse effects. USA Gymnastics CEO Kerry Perry apologized Wednesday for the "horrific acts" of Larry Nassar at a congressional hearing examining the Olympic community's role in sex abuse scandals."I want to apologize to all who were harmed by the horrific acts of Larry Nassar," Perry said.She said she was "appalled and sickened by the despicable crimes" of Nassar and said USA Gymnastics has taken a new course over the last five months to protect athletes.Perry was appointed to take over USA Gymnastics late last year. UPDATE: Police say they have safely located Reynaldo and Christina Gonzalez.(KGTV) — California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman from Los Angeles County.CHP says Reynaldo, 4, and Christina Gonzalez, 35, were abducted on Friday at about 8 a.m. near the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles. Officers are currently searching for a silver, 2014 Toyota 4-Runner with the California license plate "7VGY615."Currently, there is no known suspect, according to CHP.Reynaldo is Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. He's about 3 feet and 6 inches tall and weighs about 40 pounds. Christina is Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes.
