SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a man who reportedly grabbed three women on three separate occasions before running away.The most recent incident was reported on Feb. 25, at about 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Iris Ave. and Oro Vista Rd. A 22-year-old woman was walking when an unknown man walking in the opposite direction grabbed the woman's breasts and ran away, San Diego Police said.The incident is similar to two others reported in the same area.The first one, on Oct. 30, 2017, happened at about 7:30 p.m. and the second on Jan. 17, 2018, at about 9:30 p.m. Both occurred in the 1500 block of Oro Vista Rd. with a similarly described suspect who grabbed the women and ran away.The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-6, and weighing about 220 pounds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene of a deadly shooting near the Linda Vista Recreation Center on Sunday.San Diego Police say that officers were called to the area near 7000 Levant Street in Linda Vista just after 11 a.m. over reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they found one man who had been shot in the upper body. Officer provided first aid to the man until San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel arrived. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified but his identity was not released. He is described as a 27-year-old Hispanic man from San Diego.While officers were at the hospital, a second man arrived with an apparent gunshot wound, police said. He said that he had also been injured outside of the same recreation center. The second victim has also been identified but his name was not released. He is described as a 30-year-old man from San Diego.Police said witnesses reported seeing a man, possibly Hispanic, wearing a mask and shorts, running from the scene. He was seen getting into a small, white four-door vehicle that was last seen driving southbound on Linda Vista Road.Officers said the two victims appeared to have been near the handball courts at the recreation center when they were injured. It added a new section to the State Constitution which “generally banned the consideration of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in public employment, public education, and public contracting in California,” according to the Legislative Analyst’s Office.Ahmad Mahmuod is a San Diego native and third-year student at UC Berkeley. He plans to become an attorney.“Growing up, I've never known a single black lawyer,” Mahmuod said. “Even coming to UC Berkeley, I've had challenges connecting with other black male lawyers.”He approves of Proposition 16.“You can’t be what you can’t see,” Mahmuod said. “I do see when companies and environments and campuses are more diverse and inclusive, that they thrive, and they end up doing better.”Legal analyst Dan Eaton examined the Yes on 16 ads airing on television.“Proposition 16 takes on discrimination. Some women make as little as 42 percent of what a man makes. Dean Riggott says he watched as his wife Karen fell off a Bird scooter, her head crashing into the pavement. "She hit the back of her head with such force and ferocity, that scooter threw her with such force, that she only hit the back of her head, and broke the bones all the way around the side of her face to the front of her eyes, above her eyes," said Dean.Doctors told Dean to expect the worse, that she would likely not survive the head trauma."I cry literally every morning, every morning."But Dean says his wife is a force of nature and is now defying the odds."She can open her eyes, and she can even smile if you let her know you're in the room, and you're here for her."Karen has some movement in her arms and legs but still cannot support herself. "Unfortunately the families who's lives have been damaged by these scooters, it's going to be a reminder and a remainder in their life for a long, long time," said Dean. While Dean's focus is on his wife's recovery, he can't help but warn others about the dangers of scooters."It's pretty simple. When people are dying, something is wrong."He's reached out to all nine city council members asking for help; so far only three have responded to his pleas for action against scooter companies. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Pounds of marijuana, concentrates and edibles, cash, and handguns were seized from a Pacific Beach pot dispensary Thursday.San Diego Police raided Truly Green, located at 4150 Mission Blvd., at about 8 a.m. for illegally operating the business.The seizure included 57 pounds of high-grade marijuana, more than 1400 marijuana concentrates and edibles, ,100 in cash, and two handguns.Two employees were arrested for possession of marijuana for sale and operating a business without a permit. They were released with a citation.Police said the owners were not present, but police said they will be charged. 637
