 In her new memoir, "Becoming," former first lady Michelle Obama writes a passage explaining how her predecessor, Laura Bush, had extended her help to Obama when she was an incoming first lady, telling her that if Obama needed help, she was "a phone call away."In turn, Obama writes she did the same for Melania Trump when it was her turn to occupy the role. Trump, however, has yet to take Obama up on the offer.On Sunday, Obama was asked about the incident by ABC News' Robin Roberts, "Has (Trump) reached out asked?""No," said Obama. "No, she hasn't."On Monday afternoon, Stephanie Grisham, Trump's communications director, said in a statement to CNN that the first lady was not in need of Obama's assistance."Mrs. Trump is a strong and independent woman who has been navigating her role as First Lady in her own way," Grisham wrote via email. "When she needs advice on any issue, she seeks it from her professional team within the White House."Obama and Trump have seen each other in person three times since the election of Donald Trump as president. In November 2016, Obama invited Trump to have tea in the White House as a traditional welcoming gesture to the incoming first lady. The two women crossed paths again on Inauguration Day, notably when Trump brought a Tiffany & Co. present to the White House as a gift for the Obamas upon their departure. Obama would later joke about that moment on Ellen DeGeneres's talk show."I mean, this is like a state visit, so they tell you that you're going to do this, they're going to stand here. Never before do you get this gift, so I'm sort of like OK. ... What am I supposed to do with this gift?" Obama said.In April of this year, the Obama and Trump were briefly together again; both attended the memorial service in Houston, Texas, for former first lady Barbara Bush. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Amid the Red Flag conditions, some warnings of possible power shutoffs caught some by surprise in Torrey Highlands.Terrie Rollins has lived at her home on Caminito Vistana for nearly 20 years. On Wednesday night, for the first time ever, she received an email from SDG&E warning of a possible shutoff."Confusion, worry. Wondering how I'm going to get everything done," said Rollins.Rollins's husband suffers asthma and requires an air purifier in the home. Rollins herself lives with a lung condition and needs to plug in a nebulizer for half an hour every day to clear her lungs."Didn't sleep much last night wondering what's going to happen," said Rollins.Rollins says a hotel is costly and is concerned no hotel will accept her two dogs and parrot. Amid mounting wildfire costs and liability for utilities across the state, SDG&E - armed with high-tech tools - continue to become more proactive with wildfire prevention. That has translating into more widespread shutoff warnings. Rollins fears the shutoff warnings could be her 'new normal.’"Every time there are high winds, do I have to get a hotel?  [Breaking news update at 2:10 p.m. ET]Travis Reinking, the man suspected of killing four people at a Nashville-area Waffle House on Sunday, is now in custody, Metro Nashville police said. — CNN Newsource[Previous story]The man suspected of shooting and killing four people at a Nashville-area Waffle House has been linked to a vehicle theft at a Brentwood, Tennessee BMW dealership.Sources said that a suspect stole the vehicle from the dealership last Tuesday. That suspect is believed to be Travis Reinking, the man accused of Sunday's Waffle House shooting. Reinking remains at large, and authorities are offering a reward for information leading to his capture. After a brief chase, the car was recovered in a neighborhood, located near Reinking’s apartment.No one was ever arrested, but now Reinking has emerged as the prime suspect in the case.There is surveillance video of both the theft from the dealership and the chase. Investigators made the connection after seeing photos of Reinking after Sunday’s shooting.Brentwood Police officials confirmed there was an auto theft and brief chase.They also now are in close contact with Nashville police and law enforcement agencies – FBI, TBI and ATF – who are investigating the mass shooting.It’s possible video of the car theft suspect and more details will be released later today.   1402
