Tom Seaver was a legend in New York and drew many tributes befitting the face of the 1969 "Miracle Mets" when it was announced that he'd passed away Wednesday night.The New York Mets, for whom Seaver pitched for 11 seasons and was a broadcaster for seven, led the tributes. TIJUANA, Mexico (KGTV) - Two people in a Utah-registered truck crashed into vendors and other vehicles on the Tijuana side of the U.S.-Mexico border at the San Ysidro Port of Entry Monday, Televisa reported. Two people in a black Chevy truck with Utah license plates started a fight with a pedestrian about 3 p.m. at Boulevard Gral Manuel Márquez de León and Paseo de los Héroes, according to Televisa, which cited Tijuana Police Chief Mario Martinez. Minutes after the fight, the suspects drove to the border crossing where they struck more than 15 vehicles waiting to cross into the United States and ran over 15 vendors, the news agency reported. RELATED: Witness to U.S.-Mexico border crash describes chaos in TijuanaFour people were injured, including one with severe injuries, Martinez told Televisa. The suspects were a man and woman, possibly American, Televisa report. The two were arrested and taken to the hospital. Thursday marks National Coming Out Day — an LGBTQ holiday that encourages young queer people to be comfortable with their sexuality and live an open lifestyle.2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the first National Coming Out Day, first celebrated in 1988. According to the Human Rights Campaign, the day was started by gay activists Robert Eichberg and Jean O'Leary. Recognized by all 50 states, the day is celebrated each year on the anniversary of the Second National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, which took place on Oct. 11, 1987.As a psychologist, Eichberg wrote extensively on the act of "coming out" to friends, family and coworkers. in 1978, he established "The Experience," a community workshop in Los Angeles that encouraged young  LGBTQ people to live an openly gay lifestyle among friends and family.According to Eichberg, when LGBTQ people lived an open lifestyle it made their friends and family more likely to be accepting of queer lifestyles. It also encourages other gay people to live openly and helps develop a support network for those who may be struggling with their sexual identities.The Human Rights Campaign has published a resource guide to coming out, which you can read below. THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Five people were arrested Sunday in Ventura County after attempting to steal several Apple products from the store inside The Oaks Mall. Around 3:17 p.m. three of the suspects entered the store, all wearing hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up, police said. Once inside the group proceeded to steal Apple iPhones and laptops totaling ,000.00. All three suspects ran out of the store, crashing into and knocking down a female customer. Police said other Apple customers were able to tackle two of the suspects - identified as Donte Sims and Timothy Terry, both of Antioch, California - and keep them down in time for law enforcement arrived. Sims and Terry were arrested on criminal conspiracy and burglary charges. The third suspect got away but was seen getting into a waiting vehicle. Around 3:36 p.m. Sunday, a Ventura County Sheriff patrol deputy caught a vehicle with three people driving over the speed limit on State Route 118 in Simi Valley. Sacramento resident Mona Benoit was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Her passengers, Tynisha Noel of Fresno and Edward Benton of Antioch were arrested after a search of the vehicle revealed that the Apple merchandise stolen from the Thousand Oaks stores was in the vehicle - along with merchandise reported stolen after a burglary in Los Angeles. Thousand Oaks Police Department Detectives identified the group as an organized retail theft crew and are investigating.  1571
