CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – A Chula Vista family came home to their house completely ransacked by burglars.“It was a total mess,” homeowner Eric Deas said. “It was like a hurricane came into my house.”Deas says he left for his aunt's house around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. When he got back around 3 p.m. he found that someone had tried to get into his backdoor, then smashed a window to get in.The thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and electronics. But they also raided his fridge, drank his alcohol, and ate his food. They trashed his house, dousing his floors and furniture with booze.  Deas even found feces in the upstairs bathroom. "They didn't flush," he said.He also found a shoe in his aquarium.  About ten of his prized fish were dead.  He thinks the thieves dumped wine in the fish tank.“It looked like they had a good time,” he said.  “They had a party in my house. Unfortunately, it was a 'damage party.'”A neighbor’s security camera caught a white BMW park in the neighborhood. Then it appears of group of teens got out of the car and started walking towards Deas' house. The video was taken in the same time frame of the break-in. It was hard to make out faces or a license plate, but Deas thinks its video of the party bandits.The intruders also took something very sentimental from him.“My mom wrote me these handwritten notes. She passed away two years ago,” Deas said, “Things that sad, 'love you, ma.' It was personal.”Deas doesn't think he will get them back.“I call them punks; they don’t deserve to be people. (KGTV) -- The Sweetwater Union High School District Board voted Wednesday to cut more than 220 educators and place its beleaguered superintendent on paid leave.Staff cuts include educators and all librarians. In all, the board voted to eliminate 223 employees in hopes of balancing its budget.The board cited a decline in enrollment for the cuts, but said if enrollment goes up, librarians would be the first to return.RELATED: Sweetwater Union High School District votes to cut over 200 jobsThe vote ratifies an earlier referendum in which the board voted to lay off nearly 240 employees and staff members in February. The district's planned cuts to jobs and programs had been widely panned by staff and the public, with many calling on officials to consider salary cuts instead. She earned her doctorate degree in education from San Diego State University in 2010, according to her professional online profile. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Health officials are working to notify people possibly exposed to tuberculosis over several months at Southwestern College, according to County News Center. The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency says the exposure period was from August 20 to November 8, 2018. The college says it will provide no-cost testing to identified students, faculty and staff from December 3 to 14 at Southwestern College Student Health Services. Tuberculosis is transmitted from person-to-person through indoor air during prolonged contact with an infectious individual.
